You need a saw blade bushing. It looks about like a wedding ring with a 5/8 id (inside diameter) and a 1 inch od (outside diameter). I did a quick google search and found this: http://circlesaw.com/xcart/1-to-5-8-Saw-Blade-Bushing-p-5036.html
Good luck. Please vote if you found this helpful.

There is no maximum teeth count you can use. Just make sure the blade isn't too big for your saw and the arbor fits properly.

How to change blade arm and plastic blade guard

Don't forget that the bolt that holds the blade against the arbor (the motor hub connection point) is threaded COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. This is the opposite of nearly everything else we encounter. Be sure to use the two wrenches you got with the saw, and like the directions always say, "Unplug unit before servicing!"

Having problem get blade off table saw any hints

Unplug the saw, first and foremost.
Then see if your saw arbor has facets for a wrench behind the blade, and if so, try to find a slim wrench that fits there to hold the arbor while you attempt to loosen the arbor nut that holds the blad on. If that doesn't work, take a stick of wood, like a piece about 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 12-16" long, remove the throat plate from around the blade, wedge the stick between the blade teeth and the edge of the throat slot to hold the blade in place firmly, exerting levered force toward the center of the blade to hold it in place, and using the wrench, loosen the arbor nut. Make sure you are attempting to loosen in the correct direction. Depending which side of the blade the nut is on, some nuts are reverse threaded.
Good luck.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

you may have not gotten the blade on the arbor correctly, it sound like it is crooked, but if you look at the blade while it is spinning, you should see that. it is most likely the blade being crooked in the arbor, take the blade off and reinstall it.

The laser modules in saws are usually powered by induction from the spinning saw blade. Since your saw is only three months old hopefully you either registered it with Hitachi when you bought it or you still have your receipt as this type of failure would be covered under warranty. Call Hitachi, they may send the part to you if you are comfortable with doing the repair or they will tell you where the nearest Authorized Service Center is for warranty work. Hitachi's number is: 800-706-7337 or 770-925-1774.

This is common IF the blade clamping nut becomes loose... the blade will free wheel on the arbor after the motor stops. It can tear up the arbor so investigate this possibility immediately.

How do I replace my mitre saw blade?

It should still easily fit a 5/8" blade. The arbor shape shouldnt have any effect on the type of arbor hole needed on the saw blade (only round arbor holes are made on saw blades. You will probably find the arbor securing nut has a shape that fits into the flat gaps between the saw blade and the arbor when fixed. So grab a 5/8" round arbor saw blade and give it a go. It should work fine.
It is the arbor nut that secures the blade onto the arbor via friction which holds it on.
