Not sure how reputable these guys are, but here's something at least...

Also, make sure that you're buying PCI cards, and not PCI-e.

How can I get my Gateway desktop to recognize my Projector?

it has to be set up as an additional monitor/display. so, there are settings to set up the displays as either twins, unique seperate or something like that. have not had to do it. but i know that the graphics have to be able to recognize what format the signal is. pc settings change and graphics setttings change. have you done both? the projector should have had instructions? if not look for the manual online.

Gateway Recovery Center Not working After reboot.

LOL, it figures, I've seen the recovery fail more times than not. You may be better off trying to boot up into Safe Mode and do a System Restore to a point and time before you had problems. If you can't get System Restore to work then your only other option is to Reinstall Windows.

Hook up a older monitor to my desktop its says no input

By adding a monitor, are you trying to set up a multiple monitor display? If so, you'll have to enable your second monitor after you've connected it using the display settings in your control panel (or by pressing the Windows key + P in windows 7).

This is the strangest thing I've ever seen. I have a Gateway FPD1975W TFT Monitor and its always worked great. The other day it went into a sleep mode via windows, and now it wont boot up the input...

Hello,

Your monitor problem is causes by the power supply. What is happening is the power supply voltages are not stable, just enough to power the unit up. When you connect it to a video signal the power demands slightly increase and the power supply can't handle it. This is a very common problem with LCD after a few years of use. The issue with the power supply is the capacitors have started to fail. These parts are used to filter the output voltage and when they start to fail the outputs start rippling hence the problem you are having. Here is a link to a repair article that shows how to repair the Gateway FPD1975W monitor.

I hope this helps you get back going.

Hi - recently I've been getting a no signal message on my monitor - system is still runnung but no video. I have checked cables - all are OK - The computer is a Gateway DX4300

Three major components usually is causing this kind of problem. One is the memory card. Two the video card . and lastly worst is the motherboard. Check and clean your memory card first then put it back to its place of slot. Start your computer. If you hear one beep but still no pictures, the problem lies in your video card. If there's still no beep sound and picture, and you think your memory card is good, try to clean your video card, then start your computer. If there is still no picture, and you think your video card is good, then you have a problem with your motherboard. Indication that your cpu is working were, beeping sounds, lead lights blinking or changing sequence is present. If it is present, your monitor has a defect an needs to be replaced. But if none of this is present, we have a motherboard problem.

Gm5072 gateway not booting power on network card

Sounds like a Malware attack, try to boot into "safe mode" once there use control panel to go to your system devices. You want to delete your current video adapter and then reboot your system. Windows will reload your video drivers as long as they are not ATI, SIS or another non-standard manufacturer. Make sure your anit-virus/malware programs are up to date. Hopefully this will cure your problem.
