During spin cycle machine runs for 20 sec then stops. After opening and closeing door it runs again for 20sec then stops.Tried re-arranging laundry for balance but still same problem.

Change the program on the machine and try , if the fault clears then it can be related to the program. However if the fault seems to continue it can be due to problems in the drive getting cut off. Check for any problems on the door switch, clean and set if in case there is loose connection that gets disturbed during spin and so resets.

My indesit washing machine WI121 is taking several hours to complete a wash cycle on quick wash which should take 30 minutes

Reading the error code

The fault on the appliance is signalled via:

1. the continuous rotation of the selector knob
2. the action, for the first 4', of the electrovalve and the drain pump
3. the door becomes unlocked
4. the led flashes:
the number of flashes indicates the fault code; the code should be read as follows:
· each fast flash (2/3 flashes of the led very close together) represents one code value
· the fault code is evaluated by counting the number of flashes occurring at 3/4" intervals from one another
· stop counting when the washing machine waits the equivalent of approximately 8/9" between flashes
· the procedure is repeated by the appliance cyclically

I have a Kenmore washer #11026002010. I am having problems with the water overfilling and not progressing to the next cycle. Would you have info on the fault codes and also the recalibration procedure

Does it sound like it wants to spin? If so more than likely the motor coupler broke causing your washer to not spin. It is one of the most common parts that fail.

Anyhow Sears is the best bet for your answers they even list all the steps needed to trouble shoot.

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.

Hoover HNL7166 'Start Delay' light flashing

Hoover (Nextra series) washing machines

The 'Start' & 'Pause' LED's will flash together to indicate the error code. You have to count the flashes within each 15 second period to get that error code. The start and the pause LED's will flash together at 1Hz (i.e 1 flash per second) within that 15 second time frame, then will continue and show again within another 15secs and so on.

1 Flash = Interlock fault
2 Flashes = Fill time-out
3 flashes = Drain time-out
4 flashes = Overfill fault presure pipe blocked
5 flashes = NTC error
6 flashes = faulty control board
7 flashes = Motor jammed
8 flashes = Tacho fault
9 flashes = Motor triac on module board
10 flashes = Prog Selector or wiring fault

Constant dinging

Please explain "dinging". When the machine stops, does it give a series of beeps and produce a fault code. The fault code is normally identified by the lights ( led's) that flash on the display module when the machine faults. When you look at the lights from left to right each one that is off represents a 0 (Zero) and each one that is lit represents a 1. ie If lights are on off on on off off the code would be 101100. If you can give us the fault code, we will be able to tell you what the problem is.
