Question about Plantronics (33707-41) Headset

I have over 150 da40 plantronics headsets in our call center we have issues with qualty and the headsets drop calls and oneway audio. The big issue that I need help with is they seem to drop conection to pc all sounds stop not just calls no windows any other sounds. this is fixed buy unplugging the headset from usb port and reinserting it. Sometimes we have to restart our cosmo com call center client to take calls again. most of the time it seems to be an issue between windows and the headset. i looked and there seems only to be the windows drivers for this headset. I am wondering if there is any other solution besides replacing all 150 headsets.

The DA40 cable (and headset) is a plug-and-play device which requires no special drivers to operate properly. I believe that the DA40 is acting like a switch between the software applications loaded onto your PC's (i.e. operating system, cosmo com call center client, etc.). Much like a light switch in an electrical circuit, where the DA40 enters the PC's circuit it is interfering (turning off) with the operation of the other systems. I would recommend getting a computer technician to check one of your stations, or the server, to see where and how the break is happening. You'll probably find that the DA40 was just an innocent by-stander that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's worth a shot and better than replacing 150 headsets and cables.

There is not a USB splitter for computer headsets like the Plantronics BlackWire C220, you would have to go to a commercial grade headset to have that function. You can use any of the Plantronics "H-series" headsets with the Plantronics Y-training cable (model 27019-03), along with a USB adapter like the Plantronics DA40 or DA45 for training purposes.

I'm experiencing dropped phone calls ever since I started using the M100 headphone. How can I eliminate this problem?


I would suggest repairing the headset to your phone.
If this does not resolve the issue, delete the pairing information for your M100 headset and pair it with your phone again.

My Plantronics Voyager Pro begin emitting a continual ringing when I pair to my Blackberry. I've tried deleting the headset and re-finding it and it still rings when connected. This issue first appeared...


It sounds like a defective headset. Call Plantronics directly at 1-800-544-4660 x 5538 to troubleshoot and if it's defective, they will assist in a replacement.

My Mute button won't work any longer. Is this fixable?


Try to preform a system reset and see if that solves your issue. Start with the headset off (no light). Press and hold the on/off button and without letting go plug in the AC charger (you will see steady light on the headset). Let go of the on/off button as soon as you see the steady light. Unplug the AC charger from the headset. Test the headset to see if the reset was successful.

If this does not resolve your issue you may have to replace the headset through Plantronics Service Center.

Lg lotus does not locate plantronics 925. have been using motorola h700 with no issues. have turned off phone and 925 and retried several times. lotus does not see any other devices.


Once you make your LG Lotus discoverable, then put the Plantronics Discovery 925 into pairing mode by holding the call control button until the headset flashes red and blue. Here is the link below for the Discovery 925 pairing instructions.

Can one get the plantronics audio 995 USB headset (with microphone) to work with the PS3? The headset uses 2.4GHz, not bluetooth, so it's not a bluetooth pairing issue.

Plantronics 330 bluetooth headset / Nextel Blackberry 7100i performance


After looking through the phones, there many possibilities, wow quite a few. It does not have any recommendations on headsets. The headset is only as good as the the quality you are purchasing. If your phone drops calls it won't be from the bluetooth device. Below is a link to the Explorer Series 300 User's Guide, which may help you.

Noise reproduction problems


I called into Plantronics  Support Phone Number: 1-800-544-4660  with similar issue;  Noise at other end.  Tech (Oscar) told me if I had evidence of purchase date, the one year warranty valid and to send in unit with copy of original receipt.  A replacement will be sent back within 3-5 days of receiving.  He told me to just mail it in an envelope.  No box is necessary.  Hope you call in and get same response.
