Question about Sony CFD-C1000 Cassette/CD Boombox
Check whether the power is coming to its power socket or not. If not check the AC power chord. If there is power at the power socket, and still the device does not work, check the fuse [glass cartridge type], inside it. If fuse is also OK, check its mains transformer. You can check its mains transformer with a multimeter set to KOms range. There must show continuity with the meter. These are only possiblity for a dead device. Your device is an old model I thinks. If so, component availability will be rare. If transformer has burned, it can only be rewinded. OK.
