Question about Philips GoGear SA2ARA Digital Media Player

I have a Go Gear Ariaz 8GB. The battery was not dead, I was attempting to snyc items to device and having dificultty doing so, it deleted the items I already had on it. I'm unable to get my device to turn back on. It charged on the computer all night. I preesed the reset button it came on brielfy and then shut off again. The songbird doen't acknowledge that it's plugged into the computer. Any Idea what I should do? Thank you for your time.

Hi,

One possible issue is the cable is defective and may not be charging the unit all the way. If you have an extra cable please try that, or maybe you can pick one up at a local electronics store for testing(you can usually return these items, check return policy first).

Try to hold the reset button for 30 seconds and see if it resolves the issue. If it has a removable battery, try a new battery.

If it still does not cut on after this you will need to send the device into the company for service and repairs or possible have it replaced.

The built in speakers on my gogear 8gb mp4 player is not working. i've been using it for almost 2 years now :(


My ENT doctor said no more ear buds, no more ear phone so I Amazon purchase another GOGEAR Ariaz because they have an external speaker, or so I thought.

I tried all to get the speaker ARIAZ 16 gig to work. Nothing. Speaker does not work. The instruction manual that comes right on my 16 gig GoGear Ariaz is for titled GoGear AZURE!

AZURE! Where did that come from? The Azure manual does not show a speaker. Go figure. I do not think my Ariaz-Azure has a speaker. It does have Bluetooth that works for me OK with a Philips external Blue Tooth Speaker. No ENT correct external speaker on the player itself? Or am I wrong.

The tiny, tiny micro writing label on my "GOGEAR Ariaz" is a label for "SA5AZU16KF/37. Even though the Logo on the case of the GoGear is imprinted ARIAZ!

If I am wrong and my Philips Azure???-Ariaz has a speaker I would be pleased to know how to make the speaker work.

PS, I do own a GoGear ARIAZ 8G, and it does have a speaker that works for me.

My philips gogear ariaz 8gb wont turn on.....yesterday it froze then i think it ran out battery.over night..now nothing is happening i tried to charge it and but it wont turn on....


I have had this happen a few times. Try putting a pin in the reset hole. This worked every time for me, plus I didn't lose any data from it, which I thought I would.

I have had my Philips GoGear Ariaz 8GB player for only one month and it was working fine but now it will not turn on or take a charge.


I have just had the same problem as well tried reset / repair nothing at all contacted Philips told it was a major fault with internal power unit. Mine was Manufacturer refurbished, which philips also told me they don't do, they throw them away so how can mine be @manufacturer refurbed?

this also happens to me a while a go ., just charge your go gear ariaz 8gb on a direct electrity plug in your usb charger maybe it was too drain
