Question about Televison & Video
First confirm if the remote control emitted an infrared after an installation of the batteries by pointing it directly to your cellphone camera, while pressing any button key in the remote control, you will see the flash of the infrared emitter through the camera indication that the remote is working fine. If you can't see a flash then this is an indication that the remote is not functioning. Watch the video below for more info.
Remote Control Testing
If you've confirmed that the remote is not working, you must check if the newly installed battery is fully charged(tried another battery as much as possible). If the battery is not the issue, the remote must be take apart to check for bad solder joints most especially in the battery terminal and in the leg of the infrared emitter. Check also the battery terminal of the remote for corrosion.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
