we hooked the game up to a wireless router and when we were connected the game did a system update. my husband wanted to watch tv and changed a channel or something and we lost the signal. we tried turning the console off holding down the off/on button nothing helps

I know you said you have tried holding the button to turn off the console, but try holding it when you turn the console on until it turns it self off again?
