Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I'm trying to scan a document, but the computer I want it to go to is not on the list. Also the computer is not recognizing the printer as also a scanner. The printer is an HP OfficeJet 7310 All-in-One. Thanks for your help.

Is the solution center or hp director installed on the pc? look under add/remove and check if it's included in the list of programs installed. if it is there,look for it's icon on the desktop or click on start,all programs,hp folder,hp director and hp solution center.launch it from there.use it to scan from your computer.check for error messages and let me know.
if it is not installed ,you may need the disk to install it.or go to hp.com and click on support and drivers to download the latest version of the printer software.

When i scan to computer it cannot download the application


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. How do i get my Lexmark X2350 Printer to send e-mail? I scan my documents, but the new e-mail box does not appear after the scan like its suppose to.

Do i need software like ocr so that the lexmark x6650 scanner can work


If you are scanning documents for editing or saving them as PDF, you will need to install the OCR scan software. The Lexmark OCR scan software is available only on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center to request for one.

I cannot use the scan function on my X5470--specifically, to scan documents into PDF format. "Cannot retrieve Application List" is the messge shown. How do I repair this function?
