This may sound stupid, but should I remove the paper cover on a lithium battery before installing it or not?

- I don't know if it's just for safety - it's very sticky and seems to be covering two metal panels on either sidethe manual doesn't say whether it should be removed or not.Aug 16, 2008

If its packing cover or safty cover for shipping only, remove it.

- what about contact terminals? are both terminals are free from cover? if yes, then cover is part of battery and don't remove it.Aug 16, 2008
