If there are no screws then it is snapped togeather. You must pry the seam apart and it should unsnap

Problem: intermittent sound. Code for: ya gotta beat on it to make it work! Solution: 1. Locate thre small screws under rubber base. It has reusable sticky stuff on it. Remove screws. 2. Carefully pull that section away from body of device. There's a battery with two wires connected to the other section. 3. You'll then see four more screws on the other section . Remove the four screws. Be careful and note position of wires and where the on indicator light fits into.4. Then remove the two screws holding the black tube in. On one end of the tube is some black gooy stuff. It helps keep the tube from rattling. 5. Carefully pull and stretch every thing out just a little ways being mindful of position and delicacy of the wires. There are two wires connecting to the speaker. One of them....maybe both in some instances....needs to be soldered. If possible with 40/60 tin alloy. Some companies use garbage solder be cause of US environmental concerns so the connection breaks often. Then reverse the process and continue to enjoy a more solidly put together device. Hope this helps.

Hi. I just bought a new JBL On stage micro III. The problem is that when I put my Ipod on the dock the sound only comes from the iPod and the speaker doesn't produce any sound at all but when I push...

Have you made sure the dock is compatible with the iPod version you have? If you are having to move the iPod around, this may be because the dock isn't built for the iPod you own.

It could also be a technical fault that the dock is loose. Take it/send it back to the shop and explain your problem.

Jbl radial micro - how to open up?

I have a two JBL radial and stage micro, both with the same loose connection problem after two years. The stage micro was simpler to open and it was necessary just to re-soldering the connector. Now, it is working great. Regarding the Radial, this is another history… as explained in this forum, everything is glued. I was unable to access the circuit board following the explanation posted by other persons. In fact, the plastic cover with the JBL printed logo is glued and also has two screws. Unfortunately, you will need a good time, some hours in fact, to open the Radial. The best way is remove the back mesh screen. You will need a hair dryer to soft the glue and using a small screwdriver you will need to pull out carefully all the screen. From there, you will be able to access the screws. It will be necessary to unscrew and unglue different parts if you don’t want to scratch the Radial body.

JBL on stage micro will not charge my ipod any more. It plays songs fine from the ipod but for some reason is not charging it. Any suggestions?

The JBL Onstage Micro is supposed to disable recharging of the iPod when running off AAA batteries to avoid draining them, but sometimes this setting gets stuck even when the unit is plugged in through the AC adaptor. The workaround that I found is pulling out and reconnecting the iPod to the Onstage Micro (while both are powered on) and then unplugging and reconnecting the AC adaptor. Sometimes you have to repeat this process, but the iPod should start recharging after that. I tried it on the new 5th generation nano and this seems to work.

Compatability with 4th gen nano

I have had exactly the same problem having bought a JBL Radial Micro for my partner for Xmas for use with the Ipod Nano, i contacted JBL via their website and was advised to contact Harmen on 01707278100. I was advised that the new ipod nano (chromatic) would not charge on the JBL radial micro. They stated that this was due to Apple changing the charging pin in the new nano. I have since bought a JBL Stage III. I contacted Harmen before buying this and was advised that the Stage II would not work. Hope that this is of use.
