Hello
First check the AC power chord is connected securely.
Id 'PROTECTOR' and 'PUSH POWER' alternatevely in the front display panel, Press "power" button to turn OFF the system. And check the following items after "Standby" disappeares.
* Are + and -- speaker cords are short circuted.
* Are you using only specified speakers.
* Is anything blocking the ventilation holes of the system.
After checking above items and fixing any problems, turn ON the system. If the cause of the problem cannot be found even after checking the above items, make sure that something wrong with either its output section, or control section. Consult sony authoried service center, or any experienced technician you know very well. OK.

MY SONY HBD-DZ810 HOME THEATER IS CONSTANTLY SHOWING PUSH POWER PROTECTOR

The "PROTECT" and "PUSH POWER" messages will flash alternately when the protective device of the amplifier has been activated because a strong signal was input, or if there is a short-circuit detected. Press the POWER button on the unit to turn off the system, and check the following items after "STANDBY" disappears.

1) Are the + and - speaker cords short-circuited?
2) Are you using only the specified speakers?.
3) Is anything blocking the ventilation holes of the system?

System is not switching on.put on power protector being flashed.wherw is the location of power protector in sony home theater model DAV DZ 120

There is no 'switch' or control for Protection.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Eure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Sorry, your Sony remote doesn't support DishNetwork in any way. Either you will have to use 2 separate remotes or buy a programmable remote that supports all of them. One like
