The most possible cause of this problem is build up scale in two main points of the machine group heads.
The first is the group head filter and jet which have a very small hole and need to be cleaned.
The second point is the coffee group solenoid valve which is goggled either from scale or sometimes from dry coffee. So you can remove the solenoids and clean them from scale and dry coffee.
If all three groups have the same problem then this usually when the machine stay rest for long time so the scale and coffee in it dry out and thus blocking the water pass through the groups.
So all you need is to disassemble as mention above the group parts and clean them very well.
Your should remove electric power of the machine and shut off the water mains valves to perform the above.

Espresso shots pour very slow for both the single and double shots.

Did you try adjusting the group head screw? And/or cleaning and checking the valve in the group head? Good visuals and instructions here: https://myprojectsandmods.wordpress.com/2014/10/27/delonghi-ec702-espresso-machine-no-water-flow-fix/

Low water pressure, so takes ages to produce a cup of coffee. Has been de-scaled regular

If you get good flow with the portafilter out, you may need a new pump. When you descale do you run the descaler through the brew head? That is one problerm that people make is running the descaler through both the wand and the brew head. Sclae will build up in the pipe in the brew head and restrict it.

Water doesn't come out from showerhead once the button is pressed - can hear the water pump going, the top of machine is warm so boiler is functioning.

Does water flow without the portafilter in place, if yes then check grind, if no then remove screw, filter and diffuser and press brew button, if water flows clean filter, if no water then the micro jet in the group head is blocked or the solenoid is clogged.

I have a quite old la pavoni p3v2 110v 2000w two group machine that I have just finished a rebuild on. The machine goes to full temp on the boiler, the steam is great, but I can't get more than about 140...

Check the top of the group head there is a large bolt, within that is the metering jet and filter, that might be the cause of the blockage(either the jet is clogged or the filter is clogged). As for the full temp on the boiler what reading do you get on the gauge boiler side, it needs to be at about 1.2 bars.

Espresso does not make

Remove the portafilter and press the brew button, if the water flows from the head with a nice flow then the problem is with the grind (too fine), or the coffee has been Tamp too hard.
If water barely flows when you press the button then try backwashing the machine and removing the shower screen to clean it.

Gaggia evolution not producing coffee

One question before I make any suggestions: If you remove the shower screen and screw, do you get a nice flow of water or is it still steam?
If you get a nice flow of water, then check your screen hold it up to the light and you should be able to see through the tiny holes, if not, get a pair of needle nose pliers and being very careful hold screen over an open flame like the stove burner. The coffee will burn before the anything happens to the metal. When it is cooled screw into group and see if the flow of water is better.
If you get nothing but steam then it is time to descale the machine.

With a flat head screw head driver adjust the pump pressure. The screw is on the left side of the image below.

there are two class of expresso coffée: one produce crema and the other none. A 9 sec shot, means you are putting ground coffee that are way too coarse. The Silvia requires coffee grounf extremely fine, near powder texture.
Hope this help

Hot water won't flow into machine

You most likely need to prime the brew head. Follow the instructions in the owner's manual. To prime the brew head, you'll need to put run the machine without coffee until water starts flowing. One water flows, the brew head is primed and the machine is ready for normal use. You'll need to do this every time you run out of water. Regards, Denis
