Question about Stanley Bostitch SB1664FN 16 Gauge Straight Finish Nailer

Stanley Bostitch SB-1664FN will not activate at all when ptrigger is pulled. Air supply is OK- Plunges but will not fire :-o ??

Sounds like a safety mechanism not activating the trigger. If you have the manual look for the breakdown diagram and check that everything is in place on the gun. If not go here and you can get manual.

How do u get trigger assembly out

Before you remove the trigger, try lubricating all the parts in the head with white grease. If the trigger valve was bad, it would be leaking air as soon as you connect the air supply. Most likely just lack of lubrication or worn parts in the head causing problem. Good luck.

you need a new trigger valve assembly, there is an o ring that has split. Contact Bostitch for a replacement part.

The driver on my Bostitch nail gun won't retract

This is usually caused by either a lack of lubrication or a defect in one of the seals. If hte nailgun has been uised a lot, purchase an O-Ring kit and replace all of the O-rings. That should resolve the problem. I believe that these kits are available for around $20-$30.
