Yes!

You should be cleaning the filter regularly anyway (Between 1 - 6 months depending on usage of the machine)>

If there is water in there now that wont empty, pull the machine out and tip it back 45 degrees sop you can remove the filter without the remaining water spilling out all over you and your floor

I have a stackable unit model numberltf2140fs2 it will not drain and go into spin cycle is there a strainer that needs cleaning how do iget to it

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. While it's trying to get the water evacuated, you will probably see the machine doing a slow tumble for up to 8 minutes and you may also hear the empty pump running too.
You need to locate and clean the filter. Unfortunately, on this model, it's in a horrible place!

Rather than try to describe it, if you go to the Sears Parts direct site and look at the diagram for the motor and tub at this web address:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Frigidaire-Parts/Washer-Parts/Model-LTF2140FS2/1428/0153200/R0906023/00003

You will see a diagram of the drum and associated parts. You can zoom in on the diagram. In the bottom right section of the diagram, you will see part number 41, the filter housing ad part number 40, the filter its self. You will need to:
Remove the clip (No. 48) that holds the housing to the empty pump
Remove the clip (also No.48) that holds the air chamber to the housing
Remove the clip (No. 42) that holds the housing to the drum

You should now be able to remove the filter housing and filter. Strip and clean it before reassembly.

If the above doesn't get you where you need to be, please come back to me with a comment and I will provide further assistance

You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model (not familiar which with the model you mention) there is probably a round filter cap on the front of the machine at the bottom (It may be behind a small door or hidden behind a clip on panel on the bottom) Many models of this design also have a small hose to the right of the filter cap that you can pull out, remove a plug from and drain off any water in the filter before you remove the filter and get your floor wet, so take a look for this before you remove the filter and get soaked.

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. Without knowing the model I can't be certain, but I would suggest that the empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. While it's trying to get the water evacuated, you will probably see the machine doing a slow tumble for up to 8 minutes and you may also hear the empty pump running too.

In the event that this doesn't work and you just want to get your washing out, you will find that turning the machine off at the wall for 20 minutes will reset it and allow you to open the door (With the power still off). IF THERE IS WATER ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR, then pull the machine out and (With some help, because it's heavy!) Tip the machine backwards at about a 45 degree angle, so that the water line falls below the door before you open it.

If the above doesn

My machine does part cycle than all lights flash than when restart it will start washing but want go throw the cycles ie rinse spin drain

Teh make and model of the machine is important here, because WHICH lights flash and the number of times they flash is an error code taht we can look up if you tell us the make and model. However, from what you have said so far, this likely to be a problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. My LG washing machine model-fuzzy logic WF-s6607tc, is not spinning

The filter for your empty pump is probably clogged. The machine can't drain the water in the alloted time because it is draining to slowly through the clogged filter. The machine won't start the spin cycle if all the water hasn't been evacuated. You will need to find and clean out your empty pump filter (Probably behind a little door at the bottom of the machine.

This sounds like a classic clogged empty pump issue. The empty cycle is timed and then it steps on to the spin cycle. The machine won't spin if there is still water in the bottom of the drum. When you reset it to a spin cycle again, you are making it run through the empty cycle again, finally getting rid of the water that the clogged filter could not evacuate on the first attempt.

You need to clean the empty pump filter. Now... Where is the filter???? Hmmmm... not sure. It MAY be behind a little panel in the front of the machine near the bottom. I can't find a picture of the machine on the net so I'm not sure.

Clean the filter, I'll bet your problem goes away. You have to wonder why the idiot who sold the machine to you hasn't suggested this!
