Question about Rosen A7 Car DVD Player

1 Answer

Regiocode Hi, i've got a big problem. The dvd player always played fine, great product. I always play original dvd's on my carplayer, mostly cartoonfilms for the kids. Suddenly when we played a movie (witch we played before without problems) the player says " wrong regiocode"???? The garage holder (Hyundai car dealer) can't solve the problem. We can't play any film now for two months. We drive a lot, and the kids are very unhappy. Please help me

This is tricky...be careful to make it work!

wear work gloves.

Disconnect Negative Battery cable and leave off overnight or longer if possible. You may need to make sure you have your radio/dvd player code before you do this since it does have a theft alarm code feature.

But, this should fix it no sweat.

let me know.

Take care, Mark

I download videos from youtube using idm and save it to my pend drive. unfortunately the pend drive does not play the video in my dvd player. please help

It rather depends what format the file takes to download into your computer. But in order to play it in a DVD player it would have be converted and put on a DVD disc. You can get software that will convert most video files and make DVD's using writeable discs. But you will have to have a DVD drive on your computer that can write to DVD discs and not just play them.

DVD Player will not play DVDs Audio CDs play fine

Hi, all DVD players use a dual laser package, because the frequency (color) of the light emitted is different for CDs and DVDs. There are two possibilities here, either the DVD laser part of the dual laser package has failed, (most probable), or the connection to the circuit board has failed, (rare, but it has happened). It is always conceivable that there is a fault on the DVD playback part of the board, but this is incredibly rare. The probability of your successfully replacing the laser depends on your skill as an instrument technician.I as a qualified tech would only claim 80% success and lasers aren't cheap.

Xbox 360 wont play certain new release dvds.all else ok.whats up?

This is 99% always the case when your dvd drive is going out. You can find a replacement on ebay for under $15. Video tutorials can be found on youtube just by typing "xbox 360 laser replacement" Replace the laser and you won't have this problem anymore.

Prblem playing back DVD

The problem is most likely the DVD player itself not the software. Try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Update this if that does not resolve the problem.

New DVD from Australia will not play

Hi patjune333,

Welcome to the wonderful and stifling world of DVD region coding! This is a 'security and protection' implementation that has been around for awhile, though most folks have had the luxury of remaining blissfully unaware of it.

See, there are (last I knew) six different region codes in the world. Based on the way that the DVDs are coded (as well as DVD players), discs made in particular regions will only play in particular DVD players. So if you've got a DVD from Australia, which is Region 4, and you're trying to play it in the States or Canada, which is Region 1, this is most likely not going to work. Movies are released on the big screen across the globe at different times, and this is one of the main reasons for the region coding.

Many DVD players (at least PC ones) will give you an option of which region code you wish to use if you try to play a disc from a different region; however, this is not always the case. There are also 'region-free' software programs out there that might alleviate your problem, but I'm not sure about the legality of them. Bear in mind that the Region Coding generally interfaces with the physical firmware on the DVD player so if you use a new player to play a Region 4 DVD you might not be able to play any DVDs from North America.

Here we go - check out this link for detailed info on region coding.

Hope that helps!
