Hi,
If you want to hear the sound from your tv to your bose radio, you have 2 options as follows :
1. Optical Audio out - your tv has an optical audio out which can be hooked up to your sound system(Bose Radio). You may buy optical cable which has two identical end like the picture below.
samsung smart tv eu46d8000 - jdvillanueva_31.jpg
2. Mini jack audio out - You must have a baby stereo plug at one end of the cable and the other two end must be RCA Plug. Hooked up the baby stereo plug to the tv (mini jack) and the RCA plug to the Bose Auxiliary In.

After you hooked-up the cord, make sure that the settings is correct in the Bose Radio. Example, if you used the Baby plug/RCA plug cord, you must select the input as Auxiliary(or other input where you connect the RCA plug).
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

Yes, you've got it. You will go to option 2 since your bose radio has no optical jack. Hooked up the baby plug to the earphone jack of the tv and then the RCA plug to the RCA jack IN of the bose. Ensure that you will selected the right input by pressing the Auxiliary of the bose radio to hear the sound from the TV.

Trying to connecting my Bose lifestyle to my Samsung led smart tv to play a DVD with a yellow video cord and picture is blurry and double and has jo color? Any ideas how to fix Bose lifestyle is older...

Without the specific LifeStyle model # it's not easy to say for sure, but it sounds like you might have a composite cable plugged into a component video output of the Bose. Assuming it does not have HDMI output, it might have white/red/yellow (RCA-type jacks, aka "phono") and that yellow jack is a composite video output. It would plug into the same color jack on the TV. There are also RGB (Red/Green/Blue) component outputs on many devices and similar inputs on the TV, so you have to match like color out to same color in and make sure the TV is set to composite video input, not HDMI nor component.

Also could just be a bad cable. It's always the cheap things that we overlook, so with the same output/input setup, assuming you match type, try a different cable. The actual color of the end on the cable does not matter, but don't plug a yellow-colored output jack to a red, white, blue or green input jack on the TV - that won't work.

What does the BoseLink input do? Can I use it to connect my Bose Radio to my HD TV? It has a USB port for audio sound output. (I can't seem to find the manual that came with my Bose Radio)

yes, buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. It looks like a headphone jack on both ends. Plug one end into headphone jack of HDTV and plug the other end into the 3.5mm Audio In jack on the Bose Wave. Boselink input is for other Bose components.

Can't get video to work so bose works with tv sound

We fixed it. We had everything hooked up right, but - stupid us - we didn't turn the sound off on the TV. Once I turned the TV's sound setting to off, I flipped the speaker switch a few times on the Bose remote, then turned up the volume on the Bose and it worked.

Remote does not work when plasma tv is on

It is a very strange case that you have.
I think that bose is correct, there is definetly an electromagnetic interference with the system, but the strabge part is that panasonic plasma tvs are not supposed to emit such EMI and they should be shielded.
one advice is that to verify this try putting on the tv, and bring a portable radio close to it and see is there is a change in the sound, if there is one, then definetly your tv is emitting EM fields. this could be due to a factory defect in the tv, have it checked by the retailer where you got your tv.
a second solution is to place the receiver of the bose system further away from the tv and try using both of them.

No sound from my TV!! HELP!!

assume its a bose system 12 (non digital or digital ?)
if you clarify the model of both tv and bose system i will tell you precisely how to connect tv to bose system,

but i must assume first that your cable box is connected to your tv via a scart cable , you must remove sound function from the cable and plug directly into cd5 unit on either auxillary or video input , then turn cd5 unit to that channel to play sound and use bose reomte to control volume (ok)
i would doubt thatthe TV has a audio output, many dont.... also it may be necessary to buy a scart to RCA cable at your local electronics shop or supermarket to completet he task at hand.

if however you are digital.....
make sure you are connectiong bose digital input to a digital (dolby 5.1 compatible) sound source.

sorry if you think i have over simplified the problem !

respect
