Where is my serial number?

There are a few methods to find out your serial number.
1. Press *#06# and dial
2. Locate the sticker on the bottom of the battery compartment or box. This sticker contains your device's serial number (also known as the IMEI or ESN number), along with other information about your phone.

Don't forget to thumb up or say 'Thank you'

Find the location and name of who has my mobile phone my phone by IMEI 357797039213657

Can't do that. imei is only the phones registration number, it's not a tracker. The only way to locate a phone is if you previously had tracking software installed on it. Other then that, there's no way to trace it anywhere, any how.
I'm sorry but that's the truth

How to install phone no. in ET 3576 to memory

I think most Radio Shack phones work pretty much the same. They don't have a manual available for yours so I'm not absolutely sure, but I've had a couple of their phones. To store a number in those, it was just three steps:
  1. Press MEM
  2. Enter the number to dial
  3. Press MEM again, followed by the location button (on phones with single buttons for emergency numbers) or the memory location (one or two digits depending on the number of memory locations)
Try these steps and see if it works for your model.

Where do i find the serial number on my samsung rogue? I see a Model number , a SKU number , a FCC ID number , and a MEID HEX number

The serial number you're seeing, you have already found. Model numbers, SKU numbers and FCC numbers are there for a variety of purposes. The only number for you to concern yourself with is the substitute for the serial number.

MEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) numbers are used to help mobile phone companies and you keep track of mobile phone usage. If your phone is lost or stolen, the phone company can enter the IMEI number into the database and permanently deactivate the phone. Even if the SIM card is changed, the mobile phone will not work. There are a few things you can do to find the IMEI number on a mobile phone. Obviously, you've already discovered it so you may find the rest of this boring. In any event, you can be a hero to any friends who might encounter the same problem. Just don't tell them that you got the information free on the Internet.

Things You'll Need

Mobile phone

1. Open the battery cover on your mobile phone and remove the battery. The IMEI number should be located on the white label under the battery. It will be 15 to 17 digits long with no letters or slashes. You only need the first 15 numbers.
2. Replace the battery and power the phone on. If the IMEI number is not located under the battery, there are other ways to find it. Wait for the phone to initialize before continuing.
3. Enter *#06# on your phone's key pad. When the final # is entered, a 15-digit number with the title "IMEI number" will appear. Copy the number down and keep it for future reference.
4. If that didn't work you have still more options. If your phone is made by Motorola, you need to press #,*, (menu) and then press the right arrow very quickly. Do not pause when pressing the keys. The IMEI number will appear on the screen.
5. Check the phone's menu if you have a SIM card. Scroll through the menu until you find IMEI or SIM ID. Press enter to display the phone's IMEI number.
6. If you have an older phone with a SIM card, you can press the right arrow until you see IMEI. Press the Enter key to see the IMEI number. If there are only seven digits shown, you can hit the Menu key and then the Next key to see the remaining digits.

Tips & Warnings

Write down your IMEI code so you have it in case your phone is lost or stolen.

  • Report your phone lost or stolen immediately and give the phone company your IMEI number so they can disable your phone.
  • The IMEI number retrieval code (*#06#) does not work for all phones.
See that wasn't too bad.

All the best,

I have a VTECH phone model Vt 1122 and I do not have manual still and I need to know how to insert numbers in memory.

You can get the manual here. Here's what it says about storing numbers:

Storing a Phone Number in the One-Touch Memory Locations
  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press the PROG button.
  3. Dial the telephone number you want to store (up to 16 digits).
  4. Press the one-touch button (M1, M2, M3) where you want to store the number.
  5. Hang up the handset.

Storing a Phone Number in the Two-Touch Memory Location
  1. Lift the handset
  2. Press the PROG button.
  3. Dial the telephone number you want to store (up to 16 digits).
  4. Press the MEM button.
  5. Press the dial button (0 to 9) where you want to store the telephone number.
  6. Hang up the handset.
Please take a moment to rate this solution if it's what you needed. Thanks for using Fixya!

Hello. Can I make the Extension Numbers stay with the phone jack instead of the phone? For example I got a new phone and moved the old one to another office and it still wants to keep the old extension...

Of course it's possible, however, you need to turn off Auto Set Relocation. I'm not sure if it's an Administrator or only an Installer function.

There is a trick....and I've never tried it because I HATE ASR, if you unplug the old phone, move it to the original location, and wait at least 5 minutes, then unplug it from the original location and plug in the NEW phone before you plug in the phone you just unplugged, the new phone will become the old extension and your original phone will be unprogrammed. It also says you have to wait at least one minute before you can change the DN of a new phone, but that requires INSTALLER access.

Like I said......

Using phone tracker pro, no matter the number, it always gives my cell phone number location.

"Phone Tracker Pro" both the free, and paid versions of the app, are meant as a practical joke. This prank app always finds the location of your phone, no matter what number you enter. It's meant to make others, (who happen to be with you), think that you are tracking their own cell phone, which is assumed to be near your own.
Glad I could clear up that confusion for you.

Able to receive text messages but not send. when trying to send the phone asks for enter center.

Check from your message settings that the message center number has not been tampered with or even totally deleted.
To do this, from the 'messages' , menu, scroll to 'settings / message settings'.
Scroll to 'sending profile'. from there, you should see the profile you are currently using.
Select it, and select the message center number.. Edit it to the correct number.
If you do not know what your message center number is, this is what you do.

Get another phone, with the same service provider as yours.
Following the same procedure, locate the message center number.
Use the message center number on this test - phone to set yours.

hope this was helpful?
