SOURCE: improper printing of barcodes

recalibrate the label length in the printer(hold feed and power up). from memory bar-one uses the label settings from windows, so go into printers and faxes under control panel and correct the label size

SOURCE: BAR CODE FONTS FOR LITTLE LABELS

Depends on what software you are using, but you can use any True Type Font for the human readable, and any propritry barcode font available as downlaods.
However these barcode fonts tend not to print very small, it is a matter of trial and error.

Some drivers adjust the length of the print area, regardless of the length of the label. Do calibrate the label and also verifies that the margins are zero.

SOURCE: why would bar code print both vertically and

This is I think due to the data being sent to your printer. On a Z4m the width is 4 inch and whatever is beyond is not printed. On your Z6M the coordinates are valid so your printer will print the code.

When importing data from Excel 2010 spreadsheet Easy Mark says you must install Excel

If you selected an Excel spreadsheet from the Data Import dialog, you will need to select which worksheet within the spreadsheet contains the label data you wish to import. If you don't have Excel installed you'll need at least Excel Viewer as Easy Mark relies on the users system to view the worksheet.

I need to print mailing labels imported from excel to word in columnar order instead of in order by rows across the page.

hi Samajane,

I understand the you excel file has data that is stored column wise. Well you can first convert the column wise data to row wise data and then import it to you word.

To convert the column wise data to row wise data.
1.Select the data in your worksheet.
2.Right Click -> Copy
3.Create a blank worksheet.
4.Goto Edit - > Paste Special
5.Check the Transponse Option
6.Press OK.

Now you have converted your column wise data to row wise data and now u can import it to your word and print mailing labels

Add a excel format in tally

Sir,

What to Export ?
Tally has a facility to export its data to other applications like spreadsheets, word processing software and other database software. Export of data is provided mainly for summaries and statement reports like Trial Balance, Stock Summary, etc. You can export it to another company using Tally that will import it directly.

How to Export?
You can export all reports and statements. For this a separate export button is provided in right hand button bar. To do this go to any report e.g. day book you to export or any statement e.g. balance sheet. You would see export button on top right hand side on button bar. Press it and a screen would pop up with export related options.

The first option is format of data to be exported namely ASCII, HTML, SDF, and XML. Which ever application you are importing this data in would decide in which format you should export the data.
For statements like balance sheets and trial balance which we use to send and import file in word and excel etc. HTML format is good. We need minimum formatting in this format while using it in MS Word and MS Excel.
certain applications accept continuous data where we have defined field length. Then ASCII format is better.
For application which accept SDF and XML format these formats can be chosen.

Give a file name and the exported file is saved in the parent Tally directory on your computer. You can now use that file to import its contents into another program, send it as it is (say if it is HTML file) to a colleague or view it using a browser.

Thanks
Good Luck

Import information from a spreedsheet

use the "print from a database" function that the software for the DYMO has. It will allow you to import a database (in this cae your excel spreadsheet) and "map" it to the fields on an address label, like first name, address etc.

Excel Spreadsheet

It could have a virus or simply too much data in it or too much data linked to it. Try doing a copy of the whole spreadsheet, and then paste the data into a new spreadsheet. If it doesn't contain too many different formulas, try pasting only the values, and then replace the formulas manually. You might also try just deleting the links, if there are any. If this doesn't solve it, reply to this thread and let us know.

Hope this will FixYa!!!

I need to import data from access into excel where one column go into one worksheet and other into next worksheet

Acess will only export the data into an Excel spreadsheet with each element of the record going into a sperate column.

You can record macros to get the data to go where you want it to go on the spreadsheet.

Import data from access into excel where one column go into one worksheet and other into next

Can't be done.

Access will only put the data into one worksheet. It is very picky when it comes to exporting data into an Excel spreadsheet.

There are two ways to get around it:

1) You can export the data from Access into two files. One for the the first worksheet and another file for the second workshet.

2) You can import everything into one spreadsheet and build a macro into Excel to cut the information one spreadsheet and paste it into the other if this is a redundant task to do all the time.

Hope that helps you out.

Mail Merge won't print

AppleWorks is a quirky and hopelessly outdated product. I am aware that a few people have an extreme fondness for it however.
It should only have taken minutes to import data, but don't do it in AppleWorks - they stopped making it years ago and it is unsupported and non-standard.
I have just taken two AppleWorks databases, - one older and one newer that needed to be combined. I exported them as tab delimited text and then imported them into Excel (You could use Apple Numbers - the modern equivalent to AppleWorks). Because the to db's had different headers, I imported them into two different Excel docs first and moved the columns around so the matched first, them copy each column over to the 'master' excel sheet.
You can either use the basic database tools in Excel, or once your data is combined and in this kind of data form, it is easy to import a .xls, or .csv into a new database program, such as Filemaker.
If you do copy over the data to Excel, any merge function - for label printing etc. has to be done in Word (or at least up to Word 2004). I was thrown by this until I realised you have to do this. Once a merge doc is set up with the right labels, it worked beautifully. Typical MS though it is a wholly unintuitive process.
Copy and importing data should be done with attention to care obviously. Make sure you have your original AW files backed up before you start.
