Need to know what model your laptop is and what operating system. However, here is a workaround:
You should be able to access the Internet through your ISP, without accessing your email account. Try it with Google. if you can got into the internet, download another browser, such as Firefox. Try accessing your email account from Firefox. You may have exceeded your log-in tries with Safari (3 times wrong and you're locked out) so enter a new password and remember it or write it down. Or, go to the library and try to access your email...again change your password and write it down. This will prove your email is still active. Your operating system may not support a later browser...my OS 10.4.11 on an old Mac Pro can't be updated.
Power PCs won't run an OS later than 10.5 (Leopard) Try updating your OS, then try for a later browser.
If you use email provider like Gmail or Yahoo first go directly to gmail or yahoo site using Safari and sign into your email that way if it works and no problem with your password logout and close Safari
Then go to Mail app on your mac (Stamp Icon)delete the mail account (don't worry you will not lose your emails) Then start over by setting up your email account all over again this should do the trick.
1) do you access your email using SAFARI and from there your sending / receiving email?
2) do you access your email using an email client ( MAC MAIL) if so make sure that the program is properly configured and if not contact your ISP to get the POP3 and SMTP settings that you need to put in.
To Download Safari: 1) Go to http://www.apple.com/safari/ 2) Click "Safari 5 Free Download" 3) Uncheck the checkbox labeled "Keep me up to date... etc." 4) Be sure the button labeled "Safari 5.0.4 for Windows XP, Vista or 7" is selected 5) Click the blue button labeled "Download Now" 6) On the popup window, click the button labeled "Save" 7) Navigate to your desktop in the new window and click "Save" once more
To Install Safari: 1) Double click the icon which reads "SafariSetup.exe" on your desktop 2) Windows XP MAY ask if you're sure you wish to run this program depending on your security settings. If you see this popup, click "Yes" or "Run". 3) Click "Next" 4) Click the button labeled "I accept the terms in the license agreement" 5) Click "Next" 6) Uncheck the checkbox labeled "Install Bonjour for Windows" unless you are absolutely sure you need this additional program. 7) Click "Install" 8) Click "Finish"
Safari is now installed on your machine. Keep in mind that deleting an icon from your desktop does not uninstall a program. If you accidentally delete your desktop icon, this can easily be replaced through the start menu.
1) Go to your Applications folder (Macintosh HD/Applications) 2) Look for Safari 3) Right click on Safari (also known as ctrl+click) and select Get Info... 4) Check the box to use Safari in 32-bit mode 5) Try sending your e-mail with attachment again If this works for you, the problem is that AT&T e-mail (Yahoo! e-mail) uses a plug-in that is not designed for 64-bit Safari but running this plug-in while Safari is running in 32-bit mode should work just fine. Just try the above and try sending your e-mail message with attachment and see if this works for you.
First, verify that the user name and password that you are using is correct. Ttry to log in to your Facebook account using different computer that's connected into different network. If the same problem occur, try to access your email that is associated with Facebook.
However, if you're not able to experience the same problem on different computer, then the problem could be your internet browser. Try to optimize your internet browser or try different browser.
Here's how to optimize the browser:
* For Internet Explorer:
1. Run Internet Explorer and click on 'Tools' menu. 2. Go to Internet Options and locate the Browsing History section. 3. Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History. 4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it. 5. Access your e-mail.

Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History. 4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it. 5. Access your e-mail.
* For Mozilla Firefox:
1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu. 2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'. 3. Select 'Everything' and then click the line beside details. 4. If same problem occur, try to update your internet browser by getting the latest version of it.
I dont believe there is a way directly in safari. I would try to download firefox for free and try that. I have a new Macbook Pro and an older MacBook and they are both running firefox. Its more stable and has a lot of features that safari does not.
