How do I get my Danby dehumidifier, model#DDR70A2GP stop its fan from running continuously once it reaches a desired humidity level? Thanks

I just read your instruction manual for you, and it appears that you can't. You choose the humidity setting and you choose your fan speed and that's it. The machine will stop when the bucket is full.

Your manual is here;

Hey my danby does n't take out water anymore, its new. What's up?

If it is new --- quickly file a warranty claim. First check the switch that turns it off when the reservoir is full.

It runs 5 to 10 minutes, then it stops. When I press the remote control boton, it works again for 5 to 10 minutes and then it stops. So I need to repress the remote control again to make it starts.

I guess you are having a problem. That model dehumidifier doesn't have a remote control. As a matter of fact, I'm not aware of any model dehumidifier that has a remote control. A remote would be useless. Now, some portable air conditioners have remote controls. Is that what you have? A portable A/C unit? Please advise. Thanks.

Why is the defrosting light coming on periodicaly.

Defrosting is a normal function of a dehumidifier. When the evaporator gets too cold and starts to ice, the dehumidifier goes into defrost mode to clear / stop the ice formation. How often is the defrost light coming on and does the dehumidifier seem to be dehumidifying as expected ?

My Danby Dehumidifier has stopped drawing water even though the fan kicks in. Do you have any suggestions? The fan has been cleaned and the humidity setting is 35.

Ijust bought a danby dehumidifier ddr5009. The compressor works fine but the fan never stops running. Even if I set the timer on standby.

This dehumidifier is built in such a way that the fan runs all the time;however the compressor works only when it is needed. These infos are not specified in the booklet. It does not work like the old ones.
