My wife has the same issue. A lot of vacuums have very small motors. These can't be buried into the carpet. The brushed are mentioned to skim the tops of the carpet . Try readjusting the carpet hight on the brush head.

Red triangle and roomba stopped

If you get a red triangle with the two tone beep, and no voice prompt, roomba 770 runs for a few minutes or just immediately goes to red triangle...if you have thoroughly cleaned moving parts and find no obstructions, you may have the problem I had that stumped me for a week. Remove the trash bin, with roomba upside down, and there are 4 silver contacts that connect to two metal tabs on the trash bin. Over time the contacts lose some of their contact pressure. Use needle nose pliers to slightly rebend them so they make good contact to the trash bin contacts. These contacts feed the vacuum motor inside the trash bin. That fixed mine.

Eureka powerline umc-18 vacuum quit working

The Motor has locked up due to over heating. Once that happens the only way to go is either replace the motor drive or get a new cleaner. Do not try and keep energizing the Vacuum as you could blow circuit-breakers or start an electrical fire.

VACUUM - 1. How to open up a Wertheim 5030 to get to the cord retractor 2. How to fix the retractor so that it retracts the cord.

Hi to do this you will have to somehow find a service manual, this will give detailed instructions on why and how. I have searched for one however i was unable to find any. Perhaps a direct plea to the manufacturer may help?

In any event, usually the is NO "Fixing" of the retractor, most often, the mount at the rear attachment of the coiled spring, brakes and this stops it retracting.

The fix is to replace the entire recoiler assembly. This is pretty simple job, if one can obtain the parts.

However my professional advise is to take it to a vacuum repair shop, (NB: Only take it to a repair shop that deals in YOUR brand) and ask for a "Quote" for the repair, I am sure it will be modest indeed. You see this is just such a common thing that they fix all the time.

Hi I have been lucky to have been given a Huskystar 224 which I am delighted with but the person who had it before me has lost the Overcast foot. Zipper foot. Blind hem foot. Transparent...

Oh yeah, the overcast, zipper, blind hem, and button foot are widely available - as are lots of other fun feet (such as rolled hemmers, roller, teflon, fringe, pintuck, cording, pearls/piping, felling, flower stitching, walking, freemotion quilting, you name it.) You just need to look for low shank attachments - that's what the 224 takes. Congrats on lucking out with such an amazing machine! As for the automatic buttonhole foot, I did see one on Amazon (search 'low shank buttonhole foot") that would probably work, but haven't tried that one so I don't know for sure. Happy sewing. :)

Stopped running

orecks have a plastic fan inside and everything you pick up hits it, sometimes things can get stuck in there or break the fan locking up the motor. With the machine off, poke around where the dirt goes into the motor, behind the roller and see if you can pull anything out.
