I have a c410a premium hp all in one printer. I cleared out the paper jam, but now the feeder doesn't work and the cartridge box rests on the left side.

  • Anonymous May 27, 2011

I have tried turning it on and off moving the ink cartridge to the home position. I keep getting the shutdown message and 0x610000f6 message. The paper feeder is what's really not working. I have checked to make sure there are no small pieces of paper causing any obstructions and as of yet there are none.

Hello.
Try unplugging the printer from the power, manually moving the cartridge box to the correct position and turning the printer back on.
Sometimes the printer looses its positioning of the heads and this can sometimes help.

Unfortunatly it sounds like more of a internat hardware issue rather that a quick fix. try this link from HPhttp://h10010.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum...

If this does not work then a trip to the service centre may be required

    Regards
    GM

Peper jam why

Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please follow steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Paper feeds about half way and then stops. All of the indicator lights come on.

If you get a paper jam, the Paper Jam indicator light promptsyou to clear the paper path. If the paper has just started to feed from thepaper feeder when the jam occurs, pull the paper straight up out of the paper feeder. Open and close the printer cover toresume printing. If the paper jam occurs inside the printer, remove the paper from the output bin. Turn the printeroff, then on. If this doesn't clear the jam, open the printer cover.Remove the print cartridge and cover it.For additional assistance, please contactLexmark Technical Support
