Question about Samsung AS18A6RB Air Conditioner

Open Question

I have a Samsung split type ac [AS09S] and it is not turning on, but the Operation and Timer led continuously flashing. At any command, the Timer led turn off, the Operation led blinks twice + the device beeps twice than the Operation and Timer led flashes three times + beep three times. It happens fast. After that the Operational and Timer led continues blinking. What I tried is to unplug the device for 20 minutes, then plug it in. After it is plugged, the Operational and Timer leds are flashing continuously... The ac was cleaned 3 weeks ago. Thanks for any help! regards, dworld

Panasonic air con - when you turn the air con on it runs for about 3 mins and then the timer light flashes. Air con will not work.


• Once abnormality has occurred during operation, the unit
will stop its operation, and Timer LEDs blink.
• Although Timer LED goes off when power supply is turned
off, if the unit is operated under a breakdown condition, the
LED will light up again.
• In operation after breakdown repair, the Timer LED will no
more blink. The last error code (abnormality) will be stored in
IC memory.
• To make a diagnosis:
1. Timer LED start to blink and the unit automatically
stops the operation.
2. Press the CHECK button on the remote controller
continuously for 5 seconds.
3. "- -" will be displayed on the remote controller display.
Note: Display only for "- -". (No transmitting signal, no

displayed and signal will be transmitted to the main
unit.

matched, power LED will light up for 30 seconds and
a beep sound (continuously for 4 seconds) will be
heard. If no codes are matched, power LED will light
up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
7. The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled by
pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5 sec-
onds or without any operation the remote control for
30 seconds.
8. The LED will be off if the unit is turned off or the
RESET button on the main unit is pressed.

My Panasonic split air conditioner has stopped cooling - model:CU-W18DKR. The internal unit and internal fan operate normally. The external unit fan does not run like normal and no compressor sounds f


Sounds like a faulty outdoor controller board. If you are in Australia, call Prime Electronics or Statewide Appliances for spares.

Have you gone through this checking sequence.? it's from a Panasonic a/c manual. It could be something as simple as a clogged filter. Once you have rectified the fault, you will probably have to clear the fault code as described at bottom below, before it will condescend to work again.

  2. 2 Press the AUTO button for 5 seconds (a "beep" sound is heard) on the main unit to operate the unit at Forced Cooling Operation Mode.
  3. 3 Press the CHECK button on the remote control for about 1 second with a pointed object to transmit signal to
    main unit. A "beep" sound is heard, and the Error Code is cleared

Not turning on


Hi

Try to reset the unit by disconnecting the power supply for 10sec. and operate the unit. If it wont work replace your Room Air and Coil Thersmistor or test the thersmistor with mulitester. The resistance reading of thermistor is 10 kilo ohms @25deg. C room temp. If it is shorted or open the unit wont operate.
