Question about Kwikset 907 907-15 Satin Nickel Powerbolt Keypad Electronic Deadbolt

1 Answer

Not sure of the model number. Back cover off, there are three jumper pins. No program button. Lock currently has a 5-digit code. I would like to change it for new renters.

First step, to identify your model of lock, go to this web site:
http://www.kwikset.com/Products/Advanced-Product-Search.aspx
and select Electronic under the Categories column.
Then click on the picture that most resembles your lock. Don't worry about the various finishes for the similar locks.
Then scroll down to Technical Documents (in red) and click on Installation Guide.
There you will find how to remove the cover, which you already seem to know, and how to program the lock.
I'd recommend changing the battery at this time. You should not need to mess with the 3-prong jumper which you've identified; this is already set for your lock. it controls whether you lock is installed on a door with the hinges on the left or the right (handedness of the door).
Be sure and test your lock with the door open!
Good luck!

Setting the codes for the door chime

Presuming that you are asking how to set codes for the Desa International door chime, here's a solution:

There are two components of the Desa door chime --- the ringer assembly and the door button. Inside each component is a set of eight pairs of pins and several square-ish plastic jumpers. To set a code, you must push jumpers onto the pair of pins for each of three different numbers. (You may find that you have more than three jumpers. If so, the others are spares which you can tell because they will only be covering one of the two pins in a pair.) Whatever three numbers you choose, the ringer and button must match exactly. 5-6-7 seems to be the default set-up as delivered from the factory. This is only a problem if anyone else in the neighborhood also has a Desa chime with this setting. If you use pin 8, the ring changes from a two-tone chime to a 16-note sequence.

Good luck!

Need a video how to program my keyless entry deadbolt lock

Which manufacturer made the keyless deadbolt lock? Make sure that the batteries are good in the unit.

I have an older Weiser Powerbolt deadbolt lock that is programmed by taking off the cover on the inside of the door. This model has handheld remotes and the keypad. Inside there are three yellow buttons. Two match the cover's lock and unlock buttons. Press and hold the third button (in the center of the set of buttons). Then enter program in the code within a few seconds and press the enter button to set the code. If the unit beeps again, the code is set. If the unit doesn't beep, retry from the press and hold the Program button step.

Another model of the Weiser Powerbolt lock has the Program button either on the top left or lower right hand side of the board (depending on the way the door opens) under the cover. Press the Program button once and then enter the 4-8 digit code. Press the Lock button to set the code. If you hear a long beep, the code was accepted; otherwise try to program your code again.

Kwikset Powerbolt locks are programmed the same way as the second Weiser Powerbolt described above.

Kwikset SmartCode locks have their Program button in the center of the bottom of the control board. Otherwise the programming is the same as that given above for the second version of Weiser Powerbolt locks.

MiLocks have three buttons in a horizontal line. The left-most button is the Set button. Press this then enter the code followed by the Unlock button. The code must be entered within 5 seconds of pressing set.

Baldwin Hardware's Boulder series of keyless entry deadbolts are programmed just like the Kwikset SmartCode units.

I don't know of any videos. Most manufacturers do have PDF files with the programming instructions.

I hope this helps. Please add more information about your deadbolt for extra assistance.

(I end up replacing the batteries often on the lock I have; it seems like they last 6 months or less.)

PIN NUMBER

Take off the cover on the inside door of the lock. Grip it on the sides and pull up or twist. Press the Program button (on the left of the power board) once. Then type in desired code (4-8 digits) on the Touchpad followed by pressing the Lock button. If you hear a 2-second beep, the code is properly stored. If you don't hear the beep, the encoding period timed out. Then you need to repeat the sequence from pressing the Program button but do it faster. To store a second code, press the Program button twice and then type in the desired code followed by the Lock button. (Any earlier code will be lost during these steps.) Then replace the cover over the power board.

If you want to print out the programming information, go here: http://www.weiserlock.com/en/products/smartseries/powerbolt.aspx and scroll down to the Installation instructions. The programming instructions are at Step 5 on the PDF.

I hope this helps.

The lock is installed need to know how to program

First make sure you have the door handing set properly. Retract the bolt manually if extended. Now press the lock button... If the unit extends the bolt, then you're good. If not, switch the jumper position on the control board. If it's covering pins 1&2, move it to cover 2&3 or vice versa.
To program code #1..
Push the program button on the control board once. Enter your 4-8 digit code. Push the lock button to end the entry. The unit will emit a 2-second long beep. If it doesn't beep, you were too slow. Try again.
To program code #2, press the program button on the control board TWICE. Enter your 4-8 digit code. Push the lock button to end the entry. As before, the unit will emit a 2-second long beep when a successful entry is made.
Test your codes with the door open just to be sure.

My bell rings when my neighbor pushes his button and vice versa how do you correct. Model SL-6166-RX-A purchased at home depot.

Take the back off the 'bell' and you will see two rows of gold colored pins running parallel to each other, eight pairs I think. Three of these pairs of pins will be covered by jumpers. Jumpers connect two pins together.
Pull any one of these jumpers off it's pins and move it to any other pair of pins.
Make note of which jumper (the pins are numbered) you moved and to which pins you moved it.
Now, take the cover off the 'button'. You will see an identical set of jumpers and pins to those in the 'bell'. Duplicate there, the change you made to the 'bells' jumpers.
Ghost rings solved!
Ok, ok, on the wild outside chance that the problem persists, just move another set of pins.
Remember, the jumper configuration in the 'bell' and 'button' ' must be identical.

What is the code for programing a keyless remote for a 99 buick lesabre custom?

it is not a code but a procedure, it is in the owners manual. here it is again, follow it exactly, this is from the factory service manual.

1. Insert key in ignition and leave in the OFF position
2. Locate the Data Link Port. It is located under dash drivers side. Be sure you know
which pins are 8 and 4.

(Note port is wider at top) Your OBDII port will not
have numbers, use the illustration for reference.

3. Make sure there are metal contact pins in terminals 8 and 4. Connect 8 to 4 with a
suitable jumper wire (leave the jumper wire connected throughout the programming
procedure). Make sure you know which terminals are 8 and 4. The vehicle will respond
by locking and unlocking the
doors to signify entering of programming mode.

4. Close doors.

5. Turn ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without cranking the engine).
Doors will lock.
6. Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the first transmitter to
be programmed. After about 15 seconds, the vehicle will respond by locking and
unlocking the doors. Release the buttons on the transmitter.

7. Within one minute, repeat the previous step on the remaining transmitters to be
programmed.

8. Remove jumper wire applied to the OBDII Port.
