Avoid "Camera on Standby" glitch with MicroSD

If the camera function will not save a picture and instead gives you the "Camera on standby" warning, but your phone is otherwise working, and you haven't used up all your memory, the problem might be with the MicroSD card. Many Nokia phones format MicroSD with, I think, FAT16, which limits the number of files that fit in a given folder to 256. You may have just filled up the camera memory folder with 256 files and you need to delete some or create a new folder on the MicroSD and use that as the new camera memory bank. Happened with my Nokia 6126 a few minutes ago and I was PISSED until i realized the quick fix.

I just bought a samsung s380c trackfone how ever there is no microsd card with the phone can i still put time on the phone and have it work.where can i get a microsd card at

The phone works fine without a microSD card; it just won't have as much memory for apps, photos, and stuff. MicroSD cards in various capacities should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store.

What is the largest capacity memory card that i can buy for my samsung gt5230

According to the manual the phone can use microSD cards up to 8GB. However you're not likely to find any microSD cards larger than 2GB. Larger cards are almost certainly microSDHC cards instead.

I am using samsung corby 2. can i install my games and apps in memory card instead of phone memory??

You can't. There isn't a patch existing now that can do it. What you can do is store the installer (jar) in the memory card, then just install the apps when you need to use it, so you can just uninstall it to free up phone memory.

My memory card doesn't store more than 2gb

Your file system is some FAT 32 (or some FAT modification). It has limitation. Limit is on 4 GB but sometimes can be less. You must convert it to NTFS system. You can use Exporer for that purpose (righ click on drive and Properties), or format it with NTFS option. But with NTFS lot of cheap devices will not work (they must pay to Microsoft lot of patents for compatibility). Windows or Linux has not problem with that kind of memory card.

Slow, and internal memory almost full i barely have only like 3 or 4 apps because it wont let me installmore. and i keep cleaning the cache and deleting the texts but it does not help.

this issue appears to have nothing to do with how much space you actually have, whether it's on the SD Card or on the phone - it appears to be a big HTC Mail bug that's just crushing my phone as well, no matter what I purge or reset - there is a long thread here about it -forum.androidcentral.com/.../12215-htc-mail-memory-leak-bug-phone-storage-getting-low-2.html

it's very frustrating and will probably cause me to take back the phone

Where do i find the micro sd on the nokia 6300

Insert a microSD card
Use only compatible microSD cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Nokia
uses approved industry standards for memory cards, but some brands may not be fully
compatible with this device. Incompatible cards may damage the card and the device
and corrupt data stored on the card.

1. Remove the back cover of the device.
2. Insert the card into the microSD card slot with the contact
surface facing down, and press it until it locks into place.
3. Close the back cover of the device.
Remove the microSD card
Important: Do not remove the memory card in the middle of an operation when
the card is being accessed. Removing the card in the middle of an operation may damage
the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the card may be corrupted.
You can remove or replace the microSD card during phone operation without switching
the device off.
1. Make sure that no application is currently accessing the microSD memory card.
2. Remove the back cover of the device.
3. Press the microSD card slightly in to release the lock.
4. Remove the microSD card from the slot.
