Do you have a proxy setup?
In Windows...
1. Control Panel
2. Internet Options
3. Connections tab
4. Lan settings button

Do you have a proxy setup here? If so remove it.

Restart your computer if you haven't already.

Hope this helps!

Unable to connect to the proxy server A proxy

This is a brain-dead system default setting from Microsoft. If your company/network requires you to use a proxy server, they can make it happen invisibly to you. There is nothing wrong with turning it off except that your connection might slow down if there is a proxy on your network and you don\'t use it. Proxy can cache (save recent pages) and/or restrict your access (filter porn sites). Filtering should be invisible or not configurable by users. The MS default is just plain wrong.

I formatted my system and reinstalled Win XP on it, but now I could not use wireless to connect with internet

Make sure you have Wireless network adapter driver installed.

Manually assigned IP address and DNS address as earlier (if your IP setting is not automatically assigned by DHCP server).

If you are using router set your Router IP address as your Default Gateway Address.

If you are using Internet through a Proxy Server then Open "Internet Explorer ",
Click "Tools",
Click "Internet options",
click on tab called "Connection",
Click "Lan settings" Button.
Remove "Automatically detect settings".
Tick "use a proxy server for your LAN....."
Type the IP address of your Proxy Server and the port no.

It will work.

Login error 81003004 from Yahoo Messenger

as far as wat i did to my YM.

i simply checked the connection preferences and turned

"Connect via a proxy server."

then select

"HTTP proxy"

after that take a look at your internet connection dropdown list..

some mistakes are seen here.. instead of having the "broadband" connection selected the "dial-up" connection was chosen by YM itself..

hope that helps ya ^^

Yahoo keeps logging me out

what version of yahoo messenger your using? If using beta version I suggest to download the latest version and update I believe its ver. 9 now.

check also your connection settings  go to preferences menu under Messenger main menu  select Connection tab and check if "Connect Directly To the Internet" is selected(choose this if your  computer is directly connected to internet router not thru Network or LAN or gateway)  select Via Proxy and HTTP proxy if your connecting thru LAN using Proxy server(you need to  identify your proxy IP  address if your using ver. 8 of messenger)
