You have not provided much info to go on, but you may have an exhaust valve that is stuck in the open position. In this case, the fuel/air mixture that is going into the cylinder would be blown out thru the exhaust valve by the piston and come out through the muffler. Unless you are engine-savvy, this repair is better left to a professional. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

What is wrong when oil mix with gas and the riding lawn mower will not start?

Riding mowers are usually straight gas, not mixed. If you accidentally put mixed gas in it the carb, plugs, and engine may be gummmed up. Clean, flush, start with fresh gas, and you should be OK

I have a Poulan Pro 650 model. I need to flush the fuel line because I think the gas I put in it is bad. I no longer have the manual so I don't have any instructions. Does anyone out there have any...

First step is to take the gas cap off and tip the mower to pour the old gas out. Leave the cap off for awhile and let the rest of the gas evaporate. After you have handled this, pull out the spark plug and pull the started a few times. This will push whatever gas is left in the carb and lines into the cylinder where it can evaporate or spill out of the spark plug hole.

The pull cord on the mower is frozen after several times of pulling it.

The drive shaft might need to be lubricated. If the shaft won't turn, you won't be able to pull the cord.

Try turning the mower on its side (making sure all of the caps are on so you don't spill gas or oil) and lubricating the drive shaft with WD-40 or 3-in-1 (or another similar lubricating oil). Coat the shaft where it disappears into the housing of the mower, and turn the blade by hand -- carefully, so you don't cut yourself -- to work the oil in. After turning the blade a few times, add some more oil to the shaft and turn it more. It should become easier to turn. Then turn the mower back onto its wheels and try the pull cord... it should pull easily now.

Good luck!
