It's the woofer that will use almost all from this 150 W so if you replace woofer take one of 8 ohm which can handle 150 W and you done

What size amp will i need to run 2 PV115 speakers

An amp with 700 watts power per channel at 4 ohms as recommended in the spec sheet, depending on the crest factor or your program material you may want to go with the continious power rating of the speaker.

What ohm selection and which input do i use on peavey valveking head/ca

that depends on your cabinet(s). if you have an 8 ohm cabinet you want to use your 8 ohm out. if its a 16 ohm cabinet you want the 16 ohm out.. etc.. etc. etc.. owners manuals will tell you these specs

I have a Crate PA-8 4 ohm 150 watt PA head that I run to four Peavy 10" PA speakers (two per side in series). It was very good, clean sound, but the speakers were cheap and may have been pushed too hard -...

150 watts should be easily handled by four Peavey speakers in the connection you described.. If the Peavey's are 8 ohms, then your total load was 8 ohms for the series/parallel arrangement which is well within the 2 ohm drive capability of the Crate according to specs.

I question if you really mean the speakers were in series? This requires a special cable to do this. Now if you mean they were "daisy chained" like the amp went to one speaker and another cable connected that speaker to another, then you REALLY had ALL speakers in parallel electrically which would be at the 2 ohm low limit of the amp... In either case, with only 1/4 of the 150 Watts to each, the speakers should NOT have been damaged. The amp MAY have been damaged. Try each speaker individually at a REASONABLE level to test.

If you plug into the effects loop out jack,OFTEN the connection to the internal power amp is broken so you might have to arrange a special cable as a wye to go back into the power amp as well as your external amp. In any case pwere ALL interconnected amps, etc from the same power source/receptacle for system safety.

What is the best suited power amp for the Peavey PV14 mixer board?

that depends on your speakers, not the mixer. the amp should be matched to the speakers, in watts and in ohmage. for example, 400 watt, 8 ohm speakers should get an amp that runs at 350-500 watts at 8 ohms.

I need to know the ohm rating for the speaker in a

Judging from the "10D", that most likely means 10 watts. 6.5 inch speaker, probably 8 ohms. Most amps of this nature have 8-Ohm speakers.

Their 12-watt and 15 watt amp have a 6.5". Their 20 watt amp has an 8". The 80 watt has a 12".

Hope this helps.

Peavey amp

You could also use speakers rated less than 400 RMS provided you dont crank the volume knobs all the way up.
I think the CS400 is 200 Watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms
400 watts bridged

Here's the manual. You'll need acrobat to open it.

clearer sound = more watts / more power.
amp watts? speaker load/impedence ohms output from amp? those peavey speakers will sound good if they are powered correctly. plus try to keep the mic away from the speakers, which brings me to my next suggestion..... mic??? this will also affect your clarity.
