One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive boot up

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty ?
one bad lead will end with a computer error a computer needs its connections continue its cycle and have an end to function properly

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause this problem follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer and before you touch anything be sure to wear an earth strap hope this helps

Hi, I'm running an AMD Phenom X4 9500 off of a Asus M2N68-LA (Narra3) board. What, if any, processor could I upgrade to on this board in order to get better speed? TIA Peter

Narra3 supports X2 up to 5600+ up to 89 watt Socket AM2 Processor (currently AMD Athlon™ X2 6000+) AND X4 up to 9600+ up to 95 watt Socket AM2+ Processor (currently AMD Phenom™ X4 9600+)

M2N68-AM PLUS does not support cpu AMD Phenom 9750

No it does not. although it says it supports sockets AM2, AM2+, and AM3 and the Phenom 9750 is an AM2+, the Phenom 9750 has a wattage requirement of 125 watts. This motherboard ONLY supports CPU's up to 95watts! You would either need to get another motherboard or another CPU (or both and make a second computer).
Side note: also keep in mind that if using this motherboard with an AM2+ CPU, it will not be able to handle 1066MHZ memory (or higher) in dual channel mode, in order to get this speed you will either have to take out the second dimm or run both dimms at 800MHZ.
Hope this helps!! (and if it does, please rate or leave comment. It will be much appreciated!!)

I am using amd sempron LE-1100 i want to upgrade to a gaming pc so that i can play the sims3. so if i like to upgrade to amd athlon x2 how to know my socket type. please help

Your socket is AM2. You can put any AMD processor that has AM2. If the processor is AM3 just upgrade the bios of your motherboard and it should work. If you need further assistance, just leave a comment. Cheers

Hi........Socket 939 is an outdated processor and not compatible with Athlon 2. You may find a 939 dual core on ebay, but suggest you save up for an AM3 mobo. Hank

A8V-MXs are built for AMD processors. You will need a board made for Intel processors if you want to purchase the above processor. If you want to stick with Intel and Asus check out the P5 series of boards. If not, buy an AMD chip...I've had AMD in almost every one of my computers, laptops and desktops.

Good luck.
