The beeping is caused by your computers POST( Power On Self Test - learn something new everyday! ;) )
Find your motherboard manual, and have a look in it for beep codes, or error codes. The number of beeps will let you know what kind of problem you're dealing with.
If all is well in POST, your computer should only beep once, and continue.
Can you get into BIOS at all, or does it just show you your videocard info on bootup, then black screen?

It's unlikely that you have 2 or more defective memory modules. Remove all cards such as video, modem, etc. Also disconnect all drives (hard drive, CD, DVD). Try booting with one memory module at a time. If still a no go then I would suspect the motherboard.

MY LAPTOP WENT BLACK AFTER I SPILLED SOMETHING ON

Its better to show it to technician bcz it seems the motherboard inside lost bios flash and its unable to detect old settings so that everytime it reboots checks bios and then reboots again to flash it. Better show it to a local technician. One other way is to try booting it in safe mode and then check if it works.

3 beeps then black screen after boot

Depending upon the BIOS manufacturer, 3 beeps usually mean you have RAM problems, the RAM may need reseating to get proper electrical contact or the RAM may be faulty. Reseat the RAM module/s then reboot the computer. If this didn't solve the problem, remove the RAM and insert it into another computer to test the RAM, if this is not possible, take it to your friendly computer shop and get them to test it for you.

A blue screen just comes and stays on, what can I do? Darryl. I have a 12 inch ibook g4

Hi,
Bsod, 2 possibilities, hardware defect, and software problem,So check software.

Re-boot, keep tapping F8 while booting, enter black screen area, choose last known good, top 1

or, reboot again, F8 again, black screen, choose safe mode this time,

if/when booted, system restore, go back in time, re-boot.

or, Operating system disc in drive, reboot, when it says boot from disc, hit return, repair the o/s with the disc, (( care needed not to re-install ))

let it finish
reboot
test

I hope this helps
Regards

System don't Reboot

Assuming you have already installed the AGP driver for the motherboard, you will have to start the pc in safe mode (F8) on boot up, to start in VGA mode only and see if the graphics are ok. If it boots into VGA mode then the card itself is ok, but the card driver and agp motherboard driver, if not already; will need to be installed at this point because im assuming you were not able as you were getting the fault on screen.
