Question about Delta Faucet Company RP21462WH Waterfall Spout, White

1 Answer

How do I tighten the base on my Delta kitchen faucet? It is like the Lewiston, just a round base sitting on the sink with a pull-out spout. Do I need to remove the water lines to take this thing apart and tighten? I look under the sink and there looks like a clip of some sort and that is all. Thanks in advance for your help.

There should be a nut and washer clear up against the bottom of the counter top. I think the clip you are looking at holds the spout hose to the diverter assembly. You need to look beyond that to see the nut you are looking for. I could be mistaken, but every one of this type of faucet I have seen mounts this way including Delta. It is not easy, there is no room to work up there but it can be done. The best way is with a large basin wrench (a sort of swivel-head jaw on a rod) but with some perseverance and possibly a colorful word or two it can be done with a large pair of slip-jaw pliers too, I've done it.

I am repairing my Delta 200 faucet. Having a problem getting the spout off. How is that done? Thanks

Remove the set screw holding the handle on. Pull the handle off and then remove the large diameter slotted nut holding the ball valve in place. After you remove that the spout, remove the ball valve abd then just pull the spout up and off. You may have to work it back and forth and you may have to spray some WD40 and let it sit overnight. It will come off.

Hi While I try to rotate the tap , the whole base is rotating with it ( delta 470 ss)

A "basin" wrench will be needed to get up under the sink/faucet base to tighten the nuts that hold the faucet in place. It's a simple job but requires the agility of a contortionist to get at.

How do i remove the spout to replace o rings on 174 spout?

1. you can pull the spout while turining it. If this still does not work, then spray wd40 at the base and try again. Last resort, deep the spout and base unit in 50/50 solution of white vinegar for a day and then try to take it apart.

The base and spout are snugged fit so you will need to apply some pressure to move it.

How do I tighten a Delta kitchen faucet that has become loose?

If it is faucet body on sink loose under sink there should be screws and a plate or washers holding it sink. Tighten them up.

Some have a bolt or nut in the middle requiring a socket to tighten.

If the spout is loose remove handle and it has a plastic ring on top to tighten spout up.

Any tricks to lifting the spout off the base? I slid the collar up and removed the plastic retainer, but don't seem to be able to life the spout.

Run the hot water for a few minutes this will expand the spout and help loosen the seals. You may have to pull hard but it will come off. Use alittle silicone grease on the o-ring when reinstalling.

There should be a nut holding the plate on. What is holding the u-shaped plate up?? You can't tighten the faucet from above. Seems strange the nut disappeared.

Water pooling at base of delta waterfall faucet spout

I have the same problem. The part that is needed is found with a simple Google search for "Delta Waterfall RP22934 O-Rings"

Simply Slide the collar up at the base of the spout where it swivels.

Gently open the now exposed split plastic retainer so that the tabs near the bottom are pulled from their holes.

Lift the spout off the base to expose the o-rings.

Replace with the new o-rings and apply o-ring grease.

Re-assemble and enjoy a dry sink area.
