Pull the filter out there are sensors on the side. I used an old tooth brush to get lint from sides or get a lint brush and run it down through there and on sides.

LG Dryer - Check Filter Blinking Light is on and the filter is clean but my dryer won't come on?

The check filter light is just a reminder. Goes off once dryer starts. Dryer not working has nothing to do with that reminder. Check to see if belt is broken. When it breaks, it stops motor from working. Just take top off and tug on belt.

Model DLE5932W is prompting "check

Thank you for your question. This is a standard feature on almost all new dryers. There is only one filter in your dryer and that is the lint filter. The reason that the Check filter light appears either before your start the dryer or after it finishes is to remind you that you should in fact clean the filter.
Having a clean lint filter is very important, it decreases the amount of time it takes to dry clothes and it prevents lint from clogging the dryer vent.
If you are having a drying issue it is possible that you could have a plugged dryer vent. But if everything seems to be working correctly then this serves as a reminder only.

I have a lg tromm dle2514 dryer and the check filter light is on. I am willing to clean it (I've already cleaned the front filter area) I just have no idea where there is another filter

Hi,
There is no other filter to clean other then the one lint filter.
I would check the dryer vent to make sure it's not restricted with lint build up or has any kinks in it. Also check the outside flapper at the end of the dryer vent to make sure it's clear of lint and able to open all the way.
If your dryer vent is ok and the lint screen is clean then I would remove the front of the dryer and check the blower/fan housing for lint build up.

Dryer keeps saying check filter - lint screen is clean-dryer won't run

Had the same problem. Filter was clean. Vacuumed out the area under the filter. Still had problem. Unplugged the dryer. Removed the hose vent (back of dryer) and checked the exhaust -- all clean. Plugged the dryer back in and was fine. Still going to check the vent to the outside for lint buildup.

Dryer keeps stopping - check filter light on

For Sgt 48 - You are not reading the original message very well - The original help question didn't say they saw check filter at the beginning or end of a dry cycle they indicated that the dryer STOPS MID DRY and says check filter - this is not a friendly reminder, it is indicating something is wrong and the filter needs to be completely cleaned out (and past the filter down in the interior of the dryer) and if that does not work then you need to also check the dryer hose for kinks, lint build up, etc. Lastly, reset the dryer by unplugging it (or flipping the breaker) for a minute or so and hold down on the start/pause button for 8 seconds while it is unplugged (this will reset the error code for check filter, among other things).

Front loading dryer

The check filter light is just a reminder light and cannot be reset.  Nothing to worry about.  Just keep the filter clean before each use.
