Skype kernel32

Skype v6.6.0.106 is the last version which supports XP SP2. If you try install newer version, you will need SP3 installed, or you will get the kernel32 problem "Failed to get proc adress for getLogicalProcessorInformation (KERNEL32.Dll)".

If you don't want to install SP3 for your XP, here is a work around for you to run Skype with XP SP2.
1. Download Skypesetupfull.exe v6.3.30.105;
2. Uninstall your current version of Skype from Control Panel;
3. Block the website download.skype.com in your router or in the
Host file;
4. Delete any auto downloaded skypesetup.msi in %Temp%
folder;
5. Install Skype v6.3.30.105.
Done.

We took still photos while we were on Skype, but how do download them to our hard drive/picture files?

Hello,
In Win 7, skype images are stored here (by default)

C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Skype\Pictures.

Note : The AppData is hidden by default.Make sure you use the correct user name, and you allow viewing of hidden folders.To show the hidden files do the following

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Click the ORGANIZE drop-down box at the top.
3. Click "Folder and Search Options"
4. Click the VIEW tab.
5. Click "Show hidden files and folders."

Part of Skype got wiped out - trying to reload?

If you can uninstall it, just do it and reinstall a fresh skype. Skype is free and you can download from the Skype official website (click here), open the link and click "Get Skype" and follow the onscreen instructions to download. After it's downloaded, double-click the downloaded setup file and run the installer. It may take few minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection since the actual database are downloaded from the server during the installation process.

You may be worrying about your contacts, but they will remain as it was. Contacts are not saved on your computer, but on the skype server, so you need not to worry about it.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.
