Camera keeps telling me to reinsert the memory card. I've tried to new cards. When I put the memory card I was replacing because it is full, it goes back into the camera just fine.

As a last resort you could copy the full card to a computer and then delete the pictures on the card and use that again.

Here is the error list from the camera manual.
This is all I can suggest from here.

"Reinsert the Memory Stick Error"

Insert the "Memory Stick Duo" correctly.

The inserted "Memory Stick Duo"cannot be used in your camera
(See below).

The "Memory Stick Duo" is damaged.

The terminal section of the "Memory Stick Duo" is dirty

My camera keeps saying card error? It wont let me take pics or even look at ones already on the camera?.... Just keeps saying card error. What should I do??

Welcome to Fixya.

There are two possible reasons why your caemra keeps on displaying CARD ERROR.

First reason is not formatted for use in the camera. The solution there is you just have to format the memory card. In order for you to format the memory card you just have to click on this link and refer to page 89 in formatting memory card.

Second reason is memory cards need to be clean. You just have to clean it with soft and dry clothes. If the message is repeadted. That's the time that memory card needs to be replaced.

I hope this information give you a relief on your problem.

My Kodak EasyShare C142 keeps telling me that it cannot read the 2G memory card. I have had the same memory card since I bought the camera new 2 months ago I just took pics with it 2 days ago and when I...

The card may have become corrupted. Use a separate card reader and download any pictures from the card. Then, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

Why does it say memory card error on the screen

Hi there, For few reason camera showing memory card error.
1. Memory card damaged.
2. your memory card finished is life time storage memory.
3 . virus infected.
4. If your memory card storage capacity more than camera support card then its also show to you. For example your camera support maximum 2 GB card, but your try to use more than 2 GB memory card.
I suggest your remove the memory card and scan by updated antivirus. After that, if not working then fomat it and try.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Panasonic Lumix will not read memory card.

Hi,

try formatting your cd card in your Fz. If it keeps telling you memory error, try using it in windows, put data on it, to see wether it can hold them and read them too.
Happeded to me once too, format did the job. Just format it in the camera, not your pc.

How do i reformat a sandisk 2GB microSD card. keeps saying failed

Are you formatting it in a cell phone, a digital camera, or on your computer?

If you're formatting on a computer, be sure you have the microcard inserted into the adapter correctly. I would suggest you format the card in the device that you're using it in most.
