Hi...would like to ask you pls, i have an acer aspire and thought the battery was off, so got a new one and still the orange battery light keeps on flashing. is it an internal problem or just the battery..thanks for your help
My Acer did the same thing when I had it. I also replaced the battery. I later found out that it is very important to have ALL of the Acer speciffic software i.e. empowering framework, epower management, etc. You will also probably need to install .net framework 1.1 as well. After I did all of that and rebooted my laptop recognized the battery and began charging. It worked fine after that. It's a start and it's free. Good luck.

when orange light is on it means it is charging and to know whether your system is charging just look at battery symbol where you will find a wire symbol on battery which show it is charging and when charge is complete orange light turns blue
start your computer keep pushin f2 now youll see first use arrow keys go to were it says change reboot to f12 then restart your computer then it be set on a f12 press f12 then it will ask to run your windows go to that one.
Hi there as per your information there is a chance of battery damaged. So i suggest you use your battery in others laotop for confirmation. If your found the same problem then buy a new battery . Thanks & waiting for your feedback.
Try to connect your PC with the battery on the power outlet if it lights and charge normally. If the lights still orange, try to open the hard disk case and pull it out then try to put it in place again. If still doesn't go, try the memory card and clean it.
But I suspect that the battery has been overly charged. Try to look for another battery of the same model if it works with another and new battery.
Well the battery is dead. I don't understand your question. You have always been using it on AC adapter, but today you tried using it on battery and the battery was dead? Use the AC adapter and watch the battery and see if it charges. If not take the battery out and then put back in and make sure it is snug so the contacts are touching..if it still does not charge then you need to notify Acer, its under warranty and tell them the battery does not charge and you want a new one..if you have any questions let me know..
pls rate this with 4 diamonds then you can still ask any questions you like.
Sounds like it may be the FSB. I had the same sort of problem, though my Aspire was only a few months old and therefore covered under Acer's warranty, but I also have after sales repair insurance too. Either way, I would strongly suggest that you get an engineer to take a look
