Question about Dell Latitude 120L Notebook

2 Answers

My dell latitude 120L keeps freezing. When I then unplug it and leave it for a while it starts up again but freezes shortly after. Possibly overheating? How can I tell if overheating is the problem and if it is how do I sort it out? Thanks for your help

Overheating problems are hard to diagnose, and in some cases hard to fix. One recommendation I can give is to use a compressed air can to clean out dust from the vents on the outside of the computer. If that does not work I would recommend taking it to a professional PC repair shop.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Make sure you are saving your changes after altering the password in the BIOS. If altering the password in the BIOS doesn't fix it, then the BIOS is at fault, and your best bet is probably to send it to Dell.
