  1. Try getting a disk cleaner and running it through two full times. It is possible the lens is very dirty and incapable of reading the disk and just get's ejected.
  2. If you can tell me the name and brand of CD deck and what "error message" you are getting I can give more specifics on the error.

    • OK, please give me a few moments to research the deck. I assume it is a stock deck but with just a model number I will need to confirm. The error code helps too.

    • OK, I found out what was wrong and unfortunately there is no repair.

    • Can you tell me if there is a disk stuck in there or not already? If there is the press the load of the eject button and at the same time take a credit car and stick it into the CD door and get under the CD that is stuck and gently pry up on it and wiggle it up and down a bit until that CD pops up and out.

    • If this is a CD changer of you get this error with no disk stuck already then this answer applies.

    • Apparently this was a major defect with Toyota decks/CD players/changers. This has to either be fixed under warranty or replaced with an after market deck. Here is the explanation I found as to why these decks/CD players break so easily.

    • It was a bad idea was bad idea having the plastic trays move ,once they move and the cd wants to go in that position or two CD's go in to the same tray the cd changer is history and cant be repaired .

    • The way it works is the laser moves in to the CD changer location with some plastic trays and the CD's are alwys in the same position.

    • Let me reiterate a bit. If it is just a CD stuck in a regular 1 CD deck itself then take the credit card and pry the CD out as I suggested. This will take care of the issue.

    • If it is a multi CD disk changer the there is no fix and the explanation applies.

    • I am glad I was able to provide an answer concerning your disk changer. If only the news could have been better. Come back anytime.

Bose 6 cd changer factory installed will not function.

Some people with this issue have had some sucess disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes to reset the stereo. After re-connecting the battery, the stereo should reset and the error message should clear at which point the CD player should also function. Apart from this, a service call at a dealer or a car stereo repair specialist are the only alternatives. Best of luck.

Sounds like something inside the deck is out of place, and is scratching the cd. Please bring your decks to an authorized service center to be checked out.

Error C:31:00

It seems this sort of problem is very common with this player. The fix I have is pick the player up, rotate it 90° give it a very light nudge, and then put it back. This has fixed the problem on mine each and every time. It will come back, but just do it again. It's probably best to put the dvd player in an easy to reach place cos you'll need to do it often once it starts making the noises and error messages.

Did you try to reset it? Look for a small button that only be press with a toothpicker or something that small. Another way to reset is to disconnect the battery. Goodluck.
