I have an original xbox 360 that has worked fine for the years ive had it, today there was a software update for all xbox's and mine wont work, it comes up with the status code 3151-000-0080-0300-8007-045D, i have tried to download using wireless, ethernet, then alternatively to a usb flashdrive, and even burning the new download onto a cd and still the download doesnt work, is there anyway you can help?

The problem here is some of those games can't be read by the Xbox. That means the discs are damaged (scratched) or the game itself is out-of-date. If your Xbox is not connected online, connect it and update it. If it is updated and the discs look fine, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do.
I am confused by your question. It is unclear if you are talking about trying another headset or another x box 360 unit. You said "another sbox and it works fine......" Also are you taking about a wired or wireless headset? Please advise and I will get back to you.
you MIGHT want to not use stupid titles like that, i almost dident see what it was about! i DO know the fix tho so here it is, some xbox original games just WONT work on the 360, but others like most halos will, wait for the next update, update it, and hope it has allowed that game to play!
only original xbox games that work on 360 r the ones that u download on the xbox marketplace. i heard that there r no plans to update the console so that all originals work. cause they only released the best selling xbox games on the marketplace and prob wont release any more so i heard. its a sahme to cause i loved that mad dash racing and wish i could play on me 360 or that they would make it an xbox original
I've had the same problem and I've installed it on my Hard Drive and it works fine now. I'm still trying to find aswers to why it's didn't work before though. Mine kept saying "Unreadable Disk" error. It would be fine during a fight but as soon as I was in the main menu or Legacy menu, the error would appear and it put me back on the Xbox 360 Dashboard. But install it on your Hard Drive and it will work fine.
