I have an SP 3200sf Ricoh printer/copier/fax machine that keeps giving me an "Open Heat Cycle Power Error". If we unplug the machine and plug it back in later, it will work for a little while but stop again later with the same error. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

SC101 indicates and exposure lamp problem. To try and correct, turn OFF the copier and then unplug from the wall. Wait 10 seconds and plug it back into the wall, then turn on the copier. Watch to see if the exposure lamp comes on - lift the document handler if you want. If the exposure lamp is working correctly, the scanner will briefly move to the right and the light will turn on then off after it moves to the left.

It could need a new thermistor

"Open Heat Error" Means --- You need to make sure the voltage of the fuser is compatible with your printer.

I had the same error message 50c and "color Ink low". I knew that I still had Black Ink, and that is what I just needed for the moment, so I removed the color Ink cartridge and it started working. You'll get a message 'print cartridge missing' but just press continue.
