The message on the phone screen is "SIM Unavailable" "Phone Freeze, please contact your service provider."

This problem can be because of two things:
1) the phone is locked to a certain carrier, and only recognizes SIM cards for that carrier.
2) the SIM card is damaged (which is normal after 2 or 3 years) and you need a new one.
Hope this helps.

My phone is saying "

Hi, the message you are getting is telling you 1 of 2 things, now its either telling you that the sim card in the phone has either not been registered or it has not been topped up within a set time so its now been cancelled but if how ever the sim card is one that has been used on a regular basis then the chances are the sim card reader in the phone is now faulty.

you could try the following
1 take the sim card out of the phone, switch the phone on then switch it off again, then put the sim card back in the phone making sure its in far enough and the right way round then switch it back on and see if anything has changed.
2, try your sim card in some one else phone and if it works in their phone then you no you have got a problem with your phone
3 try another sim card in your phone making sure the sim card is from the same network as the phone is locked to,
if you try using a sim card from the wrong network it will give you the message your getting now so make sure you have got a sim from the same provider the phone is locked to.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

please can you rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

My Samsung Corby's message window is not opening. when i m checking the memory status of messages in settings, then its showing: "scanning failed". i have switched off and switched on thrice, but...

This happened to me today.. I got around 2 messages via internet server together and then the messaging server should initial
ising only... then i tried resetting the phone in no sim mode. (Witout sim type *2767*3855#) this made my phone to default
settings and all the messages stored in folders got deleted.. There were few memories in that .. then i tried opening mesages
with the sim.. but still it showed same initialising.. then i inserted another service provider sim.. it worked ..
the message box opened.. then i inserted that sim card (The one which was showing the error) in a very old handset
(Nokia butterfly modle colourless one) then i deleted messages from that sim and i again restored it in the corby and that
worked.. This just happened to erase those messages which i stored and saved them for memories.. It just seams god deleted
them... Sad.. but this worked.. at cost of something.

Samsung e330 limited service

Limited Service shows up on my E330 when I'm almost out of network range. I usually find when I move to a better location, the signal strength improves, and the message disappears.
