How do you set the clock for 12 hr time, not 24 hour ??

On most clock radios, there is a Time button. Usually, just hold it down while adjusting the Hr. or Min. I have not seen too many clock radios that do not use that kind of setup.

Digital clock gains time

digital clocks work of the frequency input of the power source so it is possible to have it adjusted by a technician
like fine tuning a radio frequency there may be a pot that can be tuned to mains frequency exactly
talk with technicians in radio or tv shops or possible some jewellers who work on electric clocks may help

Problem with time staying

From Brother Support Website.....
PPF4100 (Clock Gains ½ hour)
The LCD clock on the PPF4100 gains a half hour every 24 hours. Units affected were manufactured between January 2004 and April 2004. The machines manufactured after s/n D4J419125 have the new firmware already installed from the factory.

Machine will need to be taken to a service center and have a firmware upgrade done.
