You have already removed the screws so lift the brush cover off. Then grasp rotating floor brush at both ends and lift. Clean strings, hair and other debris from rotating brush, paying close attention to the brush ends. Clean the debris from motor pulley and drive belt areas.Grasp old drive belt and remove from motor pulley. Place new drive belt over motor pulley and stretch other end over rotating floor brush in the space between the bristles. Place the ends of the rotating floor brush down into slots on the sides. Turn the rotating floor brush by hand several times in the direction of motor pulley. If installed properly, drive belt will center itself on rotating brush. Reposition brush cover and screw back into place. I hope that this helps you!

Sebo felix belt is broken, taken screws from bottom of vacum but will not come apart

There are actually two belts on your Sebo, one that drives the brush, and the second that attaches to the pulley on one end, and the motor shaft on the other. I'm assuming that the belt you need to replace is probably the brush belt, or the belt that attaches to the brush gear on side, and the pulley on the other.

Here's what you'll need to do:

Step 1. Remove the vacuum bag housing so that you are only working with the power nozzle or the bottom portion of your Sebo, this will make it much easier to work with. Turn the vacuum upside down, and remove only the 5 screws that I have circled in red:

Step 2. After removing the screws on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, separate the top housing from the lower agitator housing, sometimes it may take putting a flat head screw driver in between the white and grey colored housing and prying them apart.

Step 3. You now have full access to the belts on your machine. It's most likely the belt that wraps around the brush gear rather then the belt that's attached to the motor that's gone bad. I have never replaced the motor belt in 8 years of servicing Sebo vacuums. The easiest way to replace this belt is to loosen the pulley system that the belt wrap around. Unscrew the two screws that hold this pulley in place, and remove the brush drive belt from the pulley, and now you can unwrap it from the brush gear as well now with the extra slack in it. Now, if you've been using your Sebo in your home rather then using it commercially in a business, Sebo actually offers a lifetime belt warranty on their vacuum cleaners. The belt is supposed to last as long as the vacuum, and Sebo will actually cover this repair, both parts and labor as long as the machine is being used in a residential home environment..

How to get the vacuum apart to change the belt

Turn power nozzle bottom up.
Remove the 5 screws.
Insert tip of a standard screwdriver into each square hole on either side of the wheels and twist to release the tabs.
Holding the power nozzle together, turn it over.
Lift the back of the cover up, then remove it.
Remove the screws at the ends of the brush.
Lift out brush.
Remove belt and replace with new belt.
Place brush back into slots and replace screws.
Check belt to make sure it's settled correctly and check tautness. It should have some give, but not much.
Replace cover by inserting front lip into the slot at the front of the base. Carefully manipulate into place, ensuring the latches click into place.
Turn PN bottom up.
Replace screws.

I need to change the roller/beater on an Electrolux genesis..can't seem to figure out how..and I am handy

Lay machine down flat on it's front. There are 4-5 screws on the bottom of the power nozzle that need to be removed. The screw on the front corner is different, make sure you get this replaced correctly. After removing those, there should be two tabs, also on the bottom, that need to be released using a flathead screwdriver. They're located in the square hole, and with a twist of the screwdriver are easily released.
Turn vacuum on to it's back and gently lift off cover of power nozzle. Do not force. Remove screws holding the brush in. Carefully remove brush. This is also a good time to replace the belt.
Make sure at each step to observe carefully how you take it apart. Take care in putting it back together to prevent future problems.

Vacuum Repair

Take the screws out of the bottom plate. Take the 2 screws out of the drive motor- opposite end of where the belt goes. Loosen the 2 screws where the belt goes, put the belt on and replace the screws. Make sure to thoroughly clean the brush while you have it apart. Don't oil the bearings. Oil will only make the dirt stick and jam the bearings.

Changing the belt

Have you pulled the roller out? Once you take the bottom plate off, the roller should slide out of its slot. Then you should easily be able to access the motor shaft.

The belt number is 60957, There should be some screws that you remove from the bottom and the whole bottom nozzle will come apart, then you can change the belt.
