How do I remove "protected"

Go into the Setup menu and select Protect (the key icon). The details are in the "Protect" and "Selecting Multiple Pictures" sections of the manual (pages 89 and 71 in my copy).

There would be an option called Protect/Unprotect in the Image Options. Choose the Unprotect option and delete it.

Screen reads "memory card is


SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Cannot download photos from Nikon L18 to computer


The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Nikon Transfer.

I have lost the original software CD of Nikon Coolpix L18 camera. Now i am not able to transfer pictures to my PC. I f you can help me solve this problem , or if anybody has software for L18 I don't have...


You can use a USB memory card reader to transfer your photos to the computer. The software for your camera can be found H E R E When the page opens click on Tech Support. I hope this helps you to get your photos to your pc..... Good Luck!

contact NIKON BAD CCD PROBLEM !

Get ir repaired free of charge just call them thousands face the same problem and all brands are repairing it free go call them
