I just purchased a sandisk cruze blade 4G flashdrive. When I connected it to my HP notebook it opened Wizard to search for installation software. Then I got a message that the software is not certified as compatible with my Windows XP and continuing installation could impair the system. So I cancelled it. I then connected the flash drive to a HP laptop and clicked on initialize and it ran and opened without a problem. I can save files on it on the second computer and also a third computer but when connecvted to the original notebook nothing happens. It does not detect it at all. Please advise.

My flash dive is not work pc is not recognize it

Windows XP, Vista , or Windows 7 should be able to automatically detect and install it. Try using it on another computer that has either Windows XP, Vista , or Windows 7 on it. If it doesn't automatically detect and install it on that one then the flashdrive is dead.

If you have an older operating system then go here to download the driver:

Hi, I have a Sandisk Cruze Blade 4 GB USB Drive, but Windows 7 64 bit OS does not recognize it. I have searched internet for 64 bit driver, but I didn't find it... I need a 64 bit SANDISK Cruze Blade...

Do you have a legit copy of windows, sometimes if the copy is (Backup) then Windows will purposely disable drivers.
If, its a genuine version, first try plugging your usb device into another usb port somewhere. Try powering down your PC and powering it back on. If these steps do not work, go to Start>Contro>Driver/Devices and look if there is any Yellow caution signs with the device plugged in. If so, click on it and follow the steps prompted to find the appropriate driver for your USB device. It will do a search by itself.
Hope this helps-

Most likely the Software/Driver disc that came with your unit is corrupted. Uninstall the currently installed drivers and try to use the following direct links from their site:

Under product type, select "USB Flash Drive", operating system doesnt matter, and click Find Driver, on the next page, select U3 Software Installer, second from bottom. You will have to do a free registration I think, but its nothing major.

Good Luck!
