Question about HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

From day 1, the HP 8500 printer will print the last page first on any number sequenced items (paychecks) or any multiple prints. Using Quickbooks, it tells how to change but is faulty in the explanation. There is no changing print order in the printer options. Any fix will be welcome. Thanks

MY HP LaserJet 2840 has a brand new Toner cartridge. Now it won't print at all and we are getting a "OPC at end of life" prompt. What does this mean?

Imaging drum reach 20,000 (black only) or 5,000 (color), replace the image drum.

Supplies life
The life of the imaging drum depends on the number of black-only or color pages that print jobs
require. Imaging-drum life is also affected each time the device calibrates because calibrating causes the imaging drum to rotate. Imaging-drum life is measured in terms of number of rotations rather than number of pages printed.
The type and length of print jobs also affects drum life. A series of short print jobs uses more drum
life than an equivalent number of pages printed in a single large job. To extend drum life, print
multiple copies of a print job at one time rather than sending the same job to the device multiple times.
The life of a print cartridge depends on the amount of toner that print jobs require. When printing text at 5% coverage, black print cartridges last an average of 5,000 pages and cyan, magenta, and
yellow print cartridges last an average of 2,000 pages. High-capacity cyan, magenta, and yellow print cartridges last an average of 4,000 pages. (A typical business letter has 5% coverage.)

WHAT IS DENSITY SENSOR IN LASERJET 8500

The Density Sensor is located inside the right upper door and senses the colour calibration pattern for each colour formed on the transfer drum during a calibration cycle. Press GO. Print a configuration page and then troubleshoot as an Image-quality problem as instructed in the user manual. Check the transfer guide for cracks and replace if necessary. Check the event log for errors numbered 54.00.0<X> the X indicates, 5-sensor abnormality, 4-Cyan, 3-Magenta, 2-Yellow, 1-Black. The last 3 error codes should be seen on the Configuration page.

Brother MFC 8500

Hi, Make sure the rear cover is closed. 2. Usually when you get misc symbols on the printed page the machine couldn't recognize the print job. I would try printing something from another file and see if the problem occurs.

By Pass tray printing

I had this problem when printing checks in Quickbooks, I resolved the problem by going to File, Printer Set up, then select checks/paychecks, then select Options next to printer drop down box, then select Paper tab, Input tray select "Bypass Tray"

Not sure if this is your application, but it did resolve my issue.
