Hello friend, First have you check on the lense, ok? the cleaning is good but if not responding then it is from the lense, i think the lense is getting weak, so that is why is not picking the CD well. It needs a change. Secondly, the Cd maybe bad that is why is giving you such error's

Hi,
if the picture is choppy, the head must be tested , first you try to clean it with a cleaner cassette several times, if picture is not getting clear the head maybe faulty, change it.

Video not showing pitcure, but does have audio

Sounds like really dirty or worn heads inside the unit. If it is just dirty heads, a head cleaner won't shift all the muck off the surface of the drum, as it will collect while the tape is moving past. You will need to unplug the machine from the power point, carefully remove the top cover, access the head drum, and carefully swab the surface with alcohol or methylated spirit (whichever is easier and cheaper to obtain) - do NOT use Q-tips on the drum, use special flat swabs (available from most electronics stores, like Radio Shack etc.) - moisten these and carefully wipe in a horizontal motion, gently rotating the drum in an anti-clockwise direction. Also carefully clean the CTL head (usually on the right hand side in VHS decks) and FE head (on the left side of the drum) also check the condition of the pinch roller (making sure it's not shiny) and the capstan shaft (near the roller) should also be clean. Once done, carefully put the top cover back on (do not put any screws back just yet - as you may need to remove the cover once more to check/clean again) plug into power point, put a tape in, and do a test playback. If the picture appears clearer, you can stop the tape, unplug machine, put the screws back into the top cover, declare the job done. All it will cost you at this stage would be the methylated spirit/alcohol cleaner, and special flat swabs. If you cannot get the swabs, you can use flat strips of clean paper dipped in the alcohol/metho to gently wipe the muck off the drum. I have done this with many VCRs with success.

If cleaning them via this simple method does not improve things, the heads are most likely worn, which means an expensive repair, as they would need replacement and alignment by a qualified technician. Judging by your post, it sounds to me like a simple case of clogged heads which a simple clean should fix - avoid using head cleaner cassettes in the future except in light cases as they are not 100% reliable.

Dear Sir/ madame Good morning, My Grundig gdivx120 when playing a movie, has a bad picture quality, sound is ok. I tried to clean the head of the dvd player by playing a head cleaner, but this didn't...

DVD is a digital picture, so no amount of head cleaning will improve the picture. I think the head cleaner you have may be scam. If you can see the lens that reads the disc, you could take a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol and gently clean it. Then dry it again with a Q-tip. If that doesn't help, then I'm afraid you may just have a bad player or TV. Try looking at your TV's settings to see if maybe the settings are off. I hope this helps!

Try to use video head cleaning cassette one more time and check. Problem still exist then....
There is a very special cassette used to clean much dirty video heads calls Lapping Tape.
This is provided only to Sony Service Centers.
You need to contact nearest Sony Service Center.

When trying to play DVDs the words unknown disc title appears. Even after several attempts with various DVDs we havent had any success.
