I purchased a used Kingston Datatraveller DT310 (original since serial nr is engraved) On different computers with different operating systems I was told to format the drive. However, either formatting was not completed or could not get started. But it never said its corrupted. Is it or are there any tricks to format or fix it?? ThanKs Thilo

Your data traveler is already used, before buying something that already used please make sure that the seller test the unit in front of you to make sure that the item is running fine and good.

How do i remove write/protect from Kingston DT310

If your running Windows go into My Computer, can be accessed from the Start Menu. Right click the device and go to Properties. You should see a check box that you can un-check to remove it. Please let me know if this does not fix your problem.

Driver of kingston datatraveller g2 2 GB is lost so it is not able to open it data contents please tell solution on this problem

Connect it to a different computer.
Copy its files to the 'C:' drive.
Burn a copy of the files to a CD/DVD-writable disk.
Then "format" the device.
Copy the files back onto the device.
Use the CD/DVD disk on your computer.

Sir, which antivirus should i use for my datatraveller g2 2gb

> which antivirus ?

None. The anti-virus software that you use on your computer will also work to scan for viruses, each time that you connect the device to your computer.

W98SE Driver for Kingston 1.0Gb DataTraveller Flash Drive

The people at your local computer shop are wrong but, Windows 98 should at least recognize the USB thumb-drive and ask for drivers.
I would remove all the USB Controllers from within Device Manager and restart; allow Windows upon restart to reload the USB Controllers; then plug in the drive and see if Windows at least recognizes and then install drivers.
It seems only the DTI/XX, KUSBDTE/XX, and DTII/XX support Windows 98.
