If your receiver has a balance knob, check it first. Switch the receiver to a different source such as the radio or cd player. See if both channels work if headphones or earbuds are used. You’re doing process of elimination this way. Sometimes the contacts in a knob or switch will need cleaning causing a Chanel to drop out. Be sure the speakers are not at fault. If none of these ideas work, you will need more than a soldering iron.
Check the balance or fader control and turn it to the left channel and if that doesn't provide quality volume from the left try swapping the speakers.
If there is no improvement there is an amplifier fault...
Volume/Squelch control: As desired
ETone: Sets the sound of the echo as desired
MicGain/RF Gain control: Normally, leave fully clockwise
Band Switch: for CB, turn all way to left (a/e)
Mode Switch: Selects how you modulate the radio. Normally, you will operate on AM, USB or LSB.
Fine/Coarse control: Changes the frequency you operate on. Normally, set so the frequency counter reading ends in 5. (center slot of the channel).
Buttons:
RB: Roger beep. Turn on or off as desired.
NB/ANL: Noise limiters. Leave on.
Frequency Counter: Turns counter lights on and off.
+10 KHZ: Allows you to get the channels missed by the Channel knob. Normally, leave off.
Power: Selects either high or low transmitter power setting.
Band: Selects band of operation. Low (A-D) or High (E-F)
dear sir,
this types of problem come from the sound section of the laptop motherboard. your laptop contains sterio sound system. problem is one channel of the sound circuit faulty. but it is too dificult to repare it.
u can do one think, u can stop one channel sound by using sound balancing option from the task bar volume control option.
also u can contact with Acer service centre.
I got the answer for No-1.
The balance was turned on the Right Channel. That is why Left Channel was not working during the Channel test.
For Channel test the Balance should be in the middle so that both Right and Left Would be heard.
I am working on my Subwoofer Isuue.
I opened the Back Panel and Yet I could ot figure out any issues.
I will open the front panel and see if any connection is loose.
if your reciver has a mono switch that could be a possibilty to check cause mono is one stereo is two mean left an right, if you have to unplug it while its on that could damage the unit, it could cause things to short out, thats another possibilty to check
You may have a bad stylus (needle), it can cause just that type of problem. Find a service center near you and see if they can get a replacement for you. They are very easy to replace, but very difficult to find.
Its easy. Jus from task bar click on that Speaker Icon of sound. In that you can select the left channel, right channel or both! Keep the pointer in middle and you will get sound in both the channels! Enjoy
