The door sits over top of the spring hinges, in the grooves you mentioned. You may need a flat blade screw driver to line the top 'L' portion of the hinge into the slots/grooves on the left and right, on the inside of the door's base. The door should be almost in an upright position. to slide the door over the hinges. Once you have the door in place, slide it down over each hinge at the same time, keeping the door level from left to right. Once the top of the hinged 'L" is in place, slide the door down over the hinge until you hear or feel a click. The door is now properly in place.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

I'm very familiar with that model range, I have one. I understand the hinges are alright. I was trying to explain how the hinges work and how you need to slide the door down over them. The door is made to slide of, when necessary.

The hinges mount inside the oven door, open the door all the way, then move the small clips that are riveted to the hinge to the position opposite of where they sit now... this will hold the hinge springs open. Lift up the door as if to close it, then the hinges will lift out of their slots and you can remove the door... Electrolux Range Stove Oven Door Hinge 318244305

How do i clean the inside the glass on my oven door

The door usually has about 4 to 8 screws on the inside. Remove the door first by opening it to 45' and lift it off its hinges. Sit it on top of the stove carefully after putting an old towel and a garbage bag on top of it. Remove the screws in the door and the inside will lift off the outside skin. Clean the glass with oven cleaner and reassemble. Ours needs doing too!

How to remove door hinge technica oven t948 please

This should be fairly easy. It does depend what model of hinge you have. On the bottom of the hinge there is an arm with a saddle lock pin - this pulls up to give space to lift the fitting off the oven frame - lift these on both hinges. On the face of the hinge where it sits on the door there should be a round screw - with the door fully open using a flat blade screwdriver turn this 45 degrees clockwise - this locks the top bar that goes to the frame of the oven.
Hold the door and with a bit of wiggling the whole door should lift off. The hinges are now easily removed by disassembling the door. Replace both hinges with new and reverse the process to replace. You do not need to remove or disassemble any part of the actual oven.

Oven door won't close all the way

I have had that trouble a couple of times. This might work. The door is usually attached to the body by two hinges with arms. You can lift the door off those arms and hinges by opening the door a few inches and lifting the whole door up in the air. Try this GENTLY. If the door acts like it will come off the body, it might be misaligned. Try lifting the door, and putting it back a few times, sort of gently twisting it from side to side. Really be gentle. This has worked for me several times. Be blessed.

Oven door will not remain fully closed

Noiselab is not correct for all cases. As Buzz says, if the springs are strong then the foil fix works and works really well. Refer to attached photo for guidance in conjunction with instructions below. Note my possibly simpler answer at bottom.

I cut some short narrow strips (about 4mm x 20 mm) from a tin can and folded them over into a flattened "U". You can back off the large Phillips head screw on the frame of the oven where the door hinges are inserted and sit the tin over the little plate that is held by these screws and then tighten so that one end of the "U" sits between the oven chassis and the adjustment plate. If it still doesn't quite close add more tin as required. Refer photo for terminology.

Now the simpler solution which I didn't try but which would probably work after I contemplated the problem in retrospect is this. The reason I didn't think of this was that I thought the hinge went into a tube or slot. Later I realised it is just a simple cantilever design which is why the tin foil solution works (ie lifting the middle support of the cantilever produces a corresponding closure of the door). When I inspected the large Phillips head screws to insert the tin foil these were completely loose. Try this first then. Slide the adjustment plate up as high as the tolerance of the Phillips screw allows and then tighten it off hard. This will raise the bottom edge of the plate just as the tin foil method does. If not enough then proceed to the tin foil method.

Oven with an attitude

Check the lineator actuator motor. If you remove the top cover there should be a strip of metal stuck on the cover to put pressure on the gear to keep it from free wheeling down. These is a tiny button/nipple that sits in the hole in the top of the gear shaft. Lose it and you're sunk. Work with good light and watch the grease. Good luck

Door

your oven needs two new hinges on the affected door. I have seen this problem many times, the internal stops on the door bend over time and cause the door to not close all the way. They are fairly easy to replace, you just have to split the door open to repalce em. Hope this helps!
